I said it manny times and other people too. But it cant be said enough.
- Photos does not show it correct, check it out live and in a mirror.
- hand size and body size matter.
Even not only the wrist thickness, some habe a flat wrist which can change everything.
Attached again a 42mm on 150mm wrist.

I got a 44mm silver. It’s very nice and big! I’m still getting use to it being bigger than the 38mm especially with a case but I’m loving it! Will get rid of the case after a few months of use and the watch will seem smaller after . For now, gonna take care of it!

I visited the store today and compared my 40mm to 44mm:

Well, I don't really like how the bigger version looks on my wrist. Too big, too noticeable (my wife says it looks like a calculator on the wrist)

Went to the Apple store today to try on both sizes. I think the 44mm will be too big for me. Here are both. The red/pink band is the 44mm. The blue band is the 40mm. So I think I’ll get a 40mm and I have to decide whether to get the Nike version or the regular. I’m not a runner so I don’t know if I’d get tired of the Nike version.

This is probably a silly question but if you have a pretty pronounced wrist bone, is it better to wear the Apple Watch above the bone higher on your arm or lower closer to your hand?

Trying to decide between sizes, any advice on if the 40 or 44 would be better for me?

Yes, this is the best way (HR monitor works better).

IMHO, there is nothing to decide. The 40mm looks gorgeous, fits just perfectly right. The 44mm looks like an iPhone on your wrist.

After everything in this thread I'm debating downsizing from the 44 to the 40 as well.. A bit of a smaller wrist myself and could save some $$$$$$$. Hm.

I have a large wrist (190mm) and a 44mm case wouldn’t look oversized on it but I ended up getting the 40mm one and now I don’t regret it. I think a lot of people with thin/small wrists are getting the 44mm because it’s the biggest display but then it kinda looks funny on their wrists but then again it’s matter of personal taste. Personally I don’t like it.

Today I got my Origibal Classic buckle.
Monday my new 44mm get delivered.
Trying the classic leather band with the 42mm on my 150mm wrist. Its a little big, but I like it more, because of the big hand and I am 190cm tall.

I'm female and I've ordered the gold series 4 SS 44mm. I currently have the SS series 2 44mm. It's a little heavy on my wrist and sometimes I wished I'd bought the smaller one, but I like the bigger screen. I will not get my series 4 until close to Christmas due to a shortage.

I am also a female who ordered the gold series 4 SS 44mm. It will be my first Apple Watch so I really struggled with the size. It’s nice to hear another female is getting the 44. Mine SAYS is should be in this week....we will see

It all depends on individual usage. Some will the use 44 as an extension tipo the mobile. You will need bigger display. For those who use it as fitness more than a snarwatch 42 will suffice. You will tend to use the dashboard more info.

44mm with link bracelet.
