So my tracking number is for my charger cable, not my watch. :-(

I had my order in by 3:08 am (time of confirmation email from Apple) and still processing. Total bummer.

Wow, this is a major disaster on Angela's part. Way to piss off your most loyal base of customers by having them get leapfrogged by people who were supposed to receive their orders in June

Knowing Tim Cook's history, and the way he handled the maps fiasco and Scott Forstall, it wouldn't surprise me in the least to see her gone. This is a terrible roll-out all around. They literally announced the product back in September and had plenty of time to figure out how to get orders to people that placed one within the first minute of launch (it literally took me about 15 seconds to get my order through).

Yeah, I still can't believe those with June delivery date will get it this Friday, while those with 04/24 (will not).

I hope that Angela got fired.

Still nothing. Patiently waiting. I heard there are a couple UPS planes due to be here this evening around 5 eastern so don't give up total hope!

I've been tracking this flight as well. In AK by 5pm could be in TN/PA by 11-12 tonight. It would be a short flight to Boston then 2 hours by truck to Warwick, RI by 4am tomorrow to be put on a truck at 630am for 4/24 delivery. Hey I have to hold onto something at this point...
They would have to hustle to get the cargo off and distributed but I've seen it done in the past.

Yeah, because Angela is responsible for the product mix that operations hands her to ship.

I love all the arm chair Executives on the forum. They have no clue.

She is in charge of the operation. Or don't you know business management 101?

She is head of RETAIL. Blame Jeff Williams for supply chain management. It's a supply issue.

Or are you one of the folks who believes Apple should have built 100mm before they put it on sale...?

I've made peace with my early May delivery date, but am going to pick up a 42mm SS with classic buckle from a friend who ordered two, but has since decided he prefers the other model he ordered. He's only asking for a moderate mark up. My plan was to pick up another one later once shipping times improve to gift to my partner; I will just swap bands when the Milanese arrives and gift him that watch.

Still getting one on launch day and getting a second one sooner than I thought I would, so all in all it's not working out so badly for me.

A friend would sell it to you at cost not a "small markup" sounds like taking advantage....

The time change from Asia to EDT helps tremendously. Had to have a part for a Panasonic TV overnighted from Japan. Order wasn't placed until the afternoon, and we had the part in hand by 10am the next morning. Yay for airplanes!!!

*sigh* Clearly you don't. Operations is what produces the Watch. Retail is what sells it. Retail doesn't get to choose how many show up. Retail has input and can make requests. For that matter, she may not have had a choice on the launch date.

Now, personally, I would probably have just delayed the launch a month and taken the heat for it, but that wasn't up to me. Fundamentally, the problem with this launch is that Apple has what looks a lot like no more than a few hundred K units to sell and their best guess on variations, combined with millions of pre-orders.

Mostly, though, people need to calm the hell down. It's just a gadget. (And no, I don't expect to receive mine tomorrow.)

I got the "We're working on your order" email of death last night :( Ordered at 3:07. Doesn't look like I'll get mine tomorrow. Would have been nice to have it to play around with over the weekend.

I think we'll see some movement over the weekend for a Monday delivery. I hope so anyway.

I don't blame Angela for the situation, although if you agree that there is a problem, part of the blame goes probably should go to her organization. She is in charge of the online store, and the online store should be coordinating with operations to see what is in stock, and giving proper updates to the customer.

I think most people would not be upset if they had some kind of clue when the watch will arrive. The first orders were made almost 2 weeks ago, and with Apple's efficient operations, they should have some idea as to when early orderers are going to receive their watch.

That being said, I don't really see what the big deal is. My order is one of the ones that is stuck (I ordered at 12:06 and got the 4/24 - 5/8 window and my order is still "processing"). I am impatient and incredibly disappointed that I will not get my watch tomorrow, but in the grand scheme of things, once the watch is in my hands, I will forget about having to wait a few extra days to get it. I'm sure that most others will too.
