Here is my letter to Tim:

Hey Tim,

I’m loving you as a leader and am pleased with the direction Apple has taken under your charge. However, I am disappointed with the  Watch release. I am in San Francisco, CA and ordered and received confirmation of my watch purchase on April 10th at 12:06 PST which was 1 minute after the Apple Store app went live. Yet, my order is still “Processing” and it’s now April 25th. Mostly I’m upset because people who ordered the same model watch after I did received theirs today. I understood that orders would be sent out in the order received. I’m hoping there is a reasonable answer to mine being delivered after later orders but with nothing more than an odd confirmation email I received two days ago from Apple, I have no idea what is going on or when I should expect my watch to arrive.

Perhaps this was the best way for the  Watch to be released due to the many configurations available, but the lack of clear communication regarding specific delivery dates and confusion as to why later orders are being received first leaves the process with much to be desired. I hope my watch arrives soon. If it is to be delivered in a week’s time I would have been grateful to know that as soon as Apple knew of the delay. I hope future releases are handled in a more clear manner.

A disappointed but loyal Apple fan,

My sentiments exactly. I wouldn't mind waiting so much if I had some clue as to when my watch would actually arrive. My order was around the same time as yours (my order was at :06). The whole process of constantly checking for an update in status is getting tiring ... Apple, please work your supply chain magic and just give me some idea as to when the watch might ship.

Honestly, I'm disappointed too to be still waiting, but only because I had been expecting to be in the "first wave." The big mistake was giving all early orderers the same delivery window. Apple knew exactly what the launch quantities would be 2 weeks ago. They should have given people who were getting a launch day delivery *for sure* a 4/24 delivery date. Then people who were on the bubble (like us) should have gotten the 4/24-5/8 delivery window. That way, instead of giving everyone with the same delivery window the same false hope, some of us would have known that we weren't a sure thing. It's just about managing expectations.

My watch is still pending. However my tracking number for the charger I got Thursday now shows two shipments. The second one was scanned Friday in Tennessee. Says arriving Monday. Card not charged yet and no shipping notices.

Same scenario, except I'm in the Midwest with a confirmation of 12:10. I've not seen any movement on anything past 12:07, so I'm guessing we'll be waiting a few more days.

so if i got my confirmation at 8:34pm, when might i expect to receive? LOL. A year?

Man I can't wait to unbox. So freaking lame I know, but this feels worse than not getting the toy you asked Santa for when you were a kid!

Curious if you have looked up your serial number to see what the build week is. I've seen a few posts on other threads for different models with very recent build weeks.

Yes I'd did - my 42mm SS Milanese was manufactured between 12-18 April.

Lol it is like Christmas. I got stopped today by people wanting to see it.

What I suspected. Burned through the first batch and the remaining orders will be a trickle out as they are built.

Man that must have been fun and felt like they saw you step out of a spaceship or something! So awesome.

Haha naw, it was fun though, it was more "how did you manage to get one yesterday?" And "what apps did you download?". I must say, the MLB app is a huge hit here (Kansas City area).

Yes, I can see that being one of my favs as well. Watching the Sox game right now trying to keep myself from refreshing status page, check support profile, monitor fedex and ups flights..... Also reading the user guide

I wouldn't bother check flights- there can be anything on those flights.

Yeah it's very well done.

So pissed...I still have NO movement, no charge, nothing but the EOD. I ordered 5 watches (3 Sport, 1 38MM SS BSB and the 42MM SS w/MIL) everything came but mine (42MM SS MIL).

I ordered mine first confirmation at 2:06AM CST.

This blows!

Agreed. Seems like the bands are also in short supply.

I guess I'll be post 1000.

The amount of times I've checked to see if my order has exited from processing purgatory.

Dude, same exact boat.
Same city, same watch, same situation.
Went to the uptown Apple Store, they didn't know anything.
Super bummed about it.

Well, at least the weather is warming up and the Wild are winning.

So, we've got that going for us.
