What's the latest time that had their cards charged today? Is it :09?

It is true that Apple has not screwed up anything "yet" based on their predicted shipping times (something many of us did not find out until after our order was processed).

My confirmation e-mail came at 2:20 CST. I could not get into the store until 2:15. My shipping dates are 05/13-05/27

We should really be looking for the time stamp as to when the shipping dates changed. Then we may be able to determine if those who ordered a 42mm with the first shipping window will in fact receive theirs on time?

For the most part it seems like the switchover occurred around :10 with some outliers. Which makes it pretty plausible that Apple is hitting the their targets to get everyone covered on time.

What slip-up?

If there is a customer/public perception of a slip-up, there is a slip up.
Business 101. Doesn't matter what you personally think or even what the truth of the matter is. Customer Perception = The Truth.

So the business world isn't fair; no surprise there.

If you do not believe there is the growing perception of a slip-up, better read the news on this. I'm not going to post all the links for you. Google is your friend.

This argument has taken place so many times I am not going to get into the middle of it again, but just as a quick factcheck, it is not true that people did not see the delivery window until after ordering. It was shown on the store page before selecting a product, and again before confirming the purchase.

If you were a *significant* shareholder, then you should be just as concerned about this new product launch as am I. It hasn't been handled "the Apple way." Tim should address the slip-up, own it (take responsibility for it), and address concerns with facts. It's a 101 business model. But it's only successful *before* too much faith is lost. Businesses rise and fall and are sold on good faith, the price of which is incalculable.

And I should clarify, I am *significant* only in my own eyes haha. My 604 shares make me a nobody to Apple.

Anyway, the point is, there is no slip-up for Tim to address. So far everyone is getting their products within quoted times. If that changes, I will happily get on your side of the argument, but until we see a meaningful number of folks with a 4/24-5/8 order that doesn't get delivered by next Friday, the complaints are baseless.

I find the anger of many childish really. Apple still has a full week to deliver the rest of the first batch. No one's order ever said they would have it 5-24. Just because you are not patient does not mean Apple has botched anything.

I'm a xx:10 42 ML myself and still waiting.

I agree that some people have gotten way out of hand, as if their existence right now revolves around getting their Apple Watch.

Doesn't it irk you a little, though, that some who ordered the same config as you at the exact same time (including me) have already gotten their watches?

You couldn't be more wrong in this situation. Public/customer perception certainly is important. However, a few diehards complaining because they want their watch NOW despite knowing when they purchased that it might take 2 weeks to come, does not make up the public/customer base.

It does not bother me at all if people are getting them before me. Heck if I don't get it for another two weeks I would not personal freak out. I would be upset, but certainly not take my anger out on Apple. That being said I am an overly patient guy, so it takes a lot to bother me. lol

"The customer is always right" is one of the greatest fallacies in business. In fact, one of Apple's strengths is its willingness to acknowledge the fact that the customer usually has no idea what it's talking about or what it wants.

And every single freaking time Apple pushes out a product, there is always a manufactured controversy about it that "proves" that it's an utter disaster. Frankly, the day that that doesn't happen is the day you should be terrified for their future. If no one can generate impressions from talking about Apple, the company is dead.

riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight

Significant on a personal level, as he has made clear.

If that's our metric, absolutely. The Apple Watch launch, as well as the watch itself, and every other Apple launch and product ever, is a complete and utter failure.

It was announced to be a failure before the pre-orders even started. So if it's the news you trust, why'd you order such a terrible and doomed product?

I'm talking about the launch, baby...talking about the launch. You know that.

Thanks friend:)

Back to the point of this thread... has anyone seen any movement on the 42 ML today? From what I read there are no UPS deliveries on Saturdays, so at this point there would be no deliveries until Monday.

Outside of the hold on my funds from Apple for three days, I've seen no updates. Still processing.

Patience.... It'll get there when it gets there. Heck if you don't get it for another two weeks, what does it matter?

I just think its funny that i can go to dominos.com and order a $10 pizza and see my order's progress which each step, from the name of the cook who put my order in the oven, to the time it's inspected for quality control, and the name of the driver bringing out for delivery.

But my $740 watch leaves me hanging in a large, vague window, with little info to go by.

Nothing, nada, zip, zilch... Another week gone without progress! Well at least we all know that next week is :apple:'s do or die week so we should all see some sort of movement before next Thursdday for :apple: to honor the delivery window they promised.

And the media has never before blown out of proportion the "problems" with an Apple product's launch?

Making a pizza is very much like making a smartwatch, I'm sure. Also, if you're the kind of person that watches the status of the pizza you ordered for delivery, I completely understand why you're upset about the Apple Watch not arriving yet :p

That's such a neat little app. I heard they now have it on Apple Wa.... Oh, never mind. #
