Hi all in the patiently waiting club here.

I have an order time of 12:17:05 according to Apple and an email which is 4 seconds later. I ordered on the website and I was sure it was before 12:10am. The website did not work until something like 12:07 for me. Does anyone else have a similar experience?

Good luck to all and may the watch Gods shine down on you soon.

Same thing with me . . .

I can't hold my tongue any more, I am so sick of the ignorant sheep who say, "Did they miss your 2 week window? Then you have no right to be upset."

BS.

But stop telling people how they should or shouldn't feel.

Not BS in the slightest.
Only an entitled person would feel that they should get a really popular product on the first day it is available

Apple gave you a window for when you will get your product. Deal with it or cancel your order. Whining about it is silly and saying it is BS is even sillier.

You tell people not to tell people how they should or shouldn't feel and yet you have no problem telling people what they can say. Lol. You just divided by zero!

I know a lot of people have mentioned their shipments originating in Harrisburg, PA...my tracking shows it coming from Mount Juliet, TN, same place my spare charger shipped from on launch day. I'm guessing this hub handles the Southeast states.

Any other FL people have theirs come from TN and not PA?

While I can generally understand that people shouldn't have had expectations since they first saw the shipment window on 4/10, your statement is ridiculous.

The reason Apple fans expect products on launch day is because Apple has very carefully and intentionally created that culture among their fans over the last 5 years. Apple created the expectation and it has zero to do with entitlement. Apple wanted it that way...and now they changed the way they sell products.

I think the idea that Apple failed at this launch is silly, but I also can understand the disappointment among the early adopters here at the delay. Both sides have legitimate arguments...but bringing entitlement into the discussion is just not necessary.

Sheep vs. Haters. Why can't people argue without extremes and assuming they know absolutely everything? You have every right to be upset based on your own personal expectations and desires...But the "sheep" are doing nothing different than you, they are merely expressing their thoughts based on their personal expectations.

My question is, is there even one early adopter here who will buy fewer Apple products because of this launch? That's what will ultimately make a difference.

Are you serious?
Do you think that all Apple fans got the 6plus or 5s or 5 on launch day?

It is necessary because it is true. There has not been a launch in ages that demand was satisfied on launch day. So it is silly to say Apple created the expectation. They also explicitly stated that supply is tight and demand is high

Of course it is entitlement to complain that one didn't get what they wanted despite the facts of previous launches and statements from Apple.

No Flights from China tonight. I'm thinking we will have to wait until tomorrow evening for another batch to arrive in the states. Unless those are all going to Maxfields :p

ZombiePete and Kyone - I'll agree that calling those who toe the Apple line sheep was uncalled for. But I stand by everything else, especially the biggest point of my argument is that people need to stop telling them how they should feel about this launch. I feel Apple screwed it up. You don't. However I don't tell you that you shouldn't feel your way.
Aid it
This is a thread aimed at those eagerly waiting for the specific version of their watch. There is bound to be some angst. I encourage you to start a thread for you and your like-minded friend that are perfectly happy and content with the way Apple handled this. You all can congratulate each other on how patient you are and what a great job Apple did with this launch. And I for one will not tell you are wrong to feel that way.

Chad style said it perfectly. you ordered and were given a delivery date. Don't like it? Cancel. If they miss their promise by a lot then you can cry the blues.

There has never been a launch like this. Period. Never supplies constrained this much, period. Nevera launch without in store sales, period.

You are defending Apple by using an argument even they would disagree with. I don't think your general belief is invalid or wrong. You just have an obnoxious and dare I say, entitled, attitude in getting it across.

Mine is shipping from there as well. My wife's sport came from Nashville - it arrived on launch day.

How about taking your fight to a new thread? This one is for updates of the space gray 42mm apple watch.

Please.

exactly my thoughts. lets all please stick to order time, cc charged and processing/preparing for shipment status updates only before the mods shut down the thread.

Been lurking for a while. Finally decided to join the forum. Got up ultra early on 4/10 only to find that the Apple Store App does not accept Apple Store Gift Cards. After waiting for the online store to finally open for me, let's just say it took a while.

Here to join in the waiting game with you all...

In case you missed it, Apple learned at a late date that one of the two suppliers of the 'taptic engine' was failing quality standards. Rather than risk shipping out watches that would have a high failure rate, they dumped the bad supplier and are shipping only watches with the component made by the other supplier. This is at least one reason that Apple has been unable to meet even their own demand projections. Is that ideal? No. But it's a hell of a lot better than having a lot of customers happy to get a quicker shipment, then angry when it quits working.

Meanwhile, the death toll in Nepal is over 7,000, and relief supplies for the survivors are stacking up at the airports because of Nepalese government bureaucracy. Now there's a scenario where delayed shipments should elicit anxiety and anger.

I keep checking in on this thread because my watch order is an x:09:59, and I'm interested to see the progress as things get shipped out. I'll just keep checking back and get my watch when I get it, because in the grand scheme of things, this is really not something worth getting worked up about.

I had a total of 5 gift cards given to me for Xmas and Birthday so I could get the Watch when it came out. I thought about seeing if the Apple Store would condense them to one card for me, but I never did. So I had to enter in all 5 cards in when I ordered.

In hind-site, I would have paid cash and used the Store App on my phone, but I never thought that the supply would be so constrained that, even after a few minutes after the store came up, that they would be sold out already.
