I believe that there is a plane landing in Alaska in 4 hours...

i hope to see movement by friday, but i would honestly love to have to wait till may 27, because i want to see if the SS WSB ships too so i can compare and keep the one i want.

just checked again and it appears that there are 3 flights on the way from Alaska to Louisville. not sure if these flights might have watches on them...

Like I said above, I think we get up to AT LEAST XX:08 orders by this Friday. Starting Monday, we should start seeing the number of "seconds" of orders start to double. Apple will probably start clearing a whole minute of orders by Tuesday, with each day beginning to earn an additional 2 minutes per day.

For example:
Monday - XX:08-XX:09
Tuesday - XX:09-XX:10
Wednesday - XX:10-XX:12
Thursday - XX:12-XX:16
Friday - XX:16-22

Monday - XX:22-XX:30
Tuesday - XX:30-XX:40
Wednesday - XX:40-XX:52
etc...

Of course, this is all a complete rough estimate...but I definitely think as the amount of preorders made at specific times decreases, you will definitely see a pickup in the range of times that are covered each day. Even by cutting my estimate in half, and only adding an additional minute per day, you'd still end up with Apple serving out orders a week ahead of the current shipping schedule.

I like your thinking and I sure hope you are right.

My fear is that as far as I can tell the website orders haven't even started yet? I have seen others that reported that the website wasn't available until 05-10 min after the hour. This could cause the order processing to slow down but I am optimistic.

There are three flights, one from Shenzhen, one from Shanghai, and one from South Korea. It is my understanding that flights from Shenzhen are the only ones that could potentially affect us. I could be mistaken.

Just checking in...

Location: Chicagoland
Order Conf: xx:08
CC Charge:No
Status: Items Processing

With 1 supplier being recalled and dumped, really not expecting delivery until the week of May 18-22 but hopefully things pick up!

One person earlier said he thought he was changed today. He noticed the charge this morning but couldn't pinpoint when it went on. I know some CC's take a little bit to pick up the charges. Maybe that was the case with his since I've stalked most of the threads today and haven't seen anyone else get charged today.

Man... I really need this watch of mine to charge/ship. Productivity at work is suffering. lol

Was anyone charged early this morning or were the last charges from yesterday afternoon?

The website was available at 12:02 or 12:03 PDT (based on some web reports from people who used the website and were refreshing constantly.) Assuming it took them 2-3 minutes to process their order, then they are still a part of the XX:05-XX:06 range of orders, which is what I fully believe is causing us to take so long to get through these two minutes. I really think that XX:09 is the threshold...and after that, from XX:10 on, we should start seeing a (probably not like, immediate) rise in the "speed" of shipping orders, simply because the number of orders per minute starts dropping off. That's why I think the range of processing gains about 2 minutes per day because they don't drop off immediately, but steadily decrease. I suspect there to be another slowdown at the 4am PDT mark (7am EST), since the people who didn't stay up to order were probably waking up and catching up on the news as they sipped their coffee, saw the report about Apple Watch preorders happening, and immediately jumped online to submit theirs. This will probably continue through 7am PDT (10am EST) and then we will again see another boost in processing times.

Again, this is all speculation, but based on the information gathered here, and knowledge about the largest group of people who are ordering Apple Watches (25-35 males, who probably have desk jobs that they get up around 6-7am for), it's a good assumption to make....assuming that the volume of production doesn't go up or down.

What the heck

Ordered my 42mm SGS at 12:04 but apple has my order time as 6:47 am! They think maybe using apple pay may have caused a delay in processing. Anyone else have the same issue? My order still says processing.

Been watching forum and decided to add my 2 cents for what it’s worth.

42mm Space Gray with Black Sport Band
Order Confirmation: ? (In sleepy stupor I must have deleted email. I did print a copy.
Delivery Window: May 13–27
Destination: New Orleans, LA
Status: Processing Items
Credit Card Charge: Had a pending charge on CC for about 3 days and yesterday it disappeared.

My wife’s watch had a pending charge on CC for a couple of days then disappeared. Next day her watched showed “preparing to ship”. CC was charged on April 23 and she received her watch on April 24. And in the past when ordering iPads or iPhone always got pending charge just before seeing movement. Hope this holds true. ;)

I'm in Chicagoland too (xx:07:49), but I switched my delivery to San Francisco because I hear they're getting theirs faster ;) Just kidding. I'm headed there tomorrow for the next month. Checked with Apple to make sure changing the address wouldn't affect the delivery date. So far everything is the same. Hoping for some action this week.

I find the "hump" argument rather compelling as it may explain this apparent slowdown in the the 06-07 range. I think this faulty engine thing is getting misconstrued. Apple knew about the issue before production ramped up and it is probably the cause for their cautious attitude, warning of low supply. So I think the issue is baked into the wide and advanced delivery windows. Optimistically, they think they'll beat the expectation they've set. At this point I'm really only bothered by this Mayfield store getting supply ahead of people going through the "requisite" online process (but without knowing the number they're getting, it's not necessarily more impactful than deliveries going out of order, which has its own viable explanation in shipping logistics). It really comes down to the fact that so many of us have the same taste in watches, too many for Apple to appease us on day one. No big deal in the end.

I think they may have it as 12:06 and 47 seconds.

I've seen a lot of cases where Apple support staff read the minute:seconds as hours:minutes.

This is correct. That has been the case with everyone who has posted this information over the past 3 weeks.

Did you actually check the exact confirmation email time? There have been numerous people that have contacted Apple wondering when their order time is and they've gotten the minutes and seconds confused with hours and minutes. I have a feeling your order time was 12:06:47.
