Here you go, if I’d have known this was going to be put on the front page, I’d have put a little more effort into it! my apologies I can’t be more accurate. I was using this iPhone 11 Pro to take the last pictures, so these images below are being taken with a *cough* iPad *cough*

I should mention again that these straight-on pics are deceptive because the round profile on modern iPhones are quite slimming.
Brilliant thank you for these! Very detailed too. It does look a lot smaller than what I had imagined. The 5.4” really does seem like the perfect sized phone. Just a shame (if rumours are true) that it won’t have the “Pro” features.

Looks perfect. I wonder what people will find to whine about it? Maybe the notch, or the lightning bolt plug?
My guess is that the whining will start when people realize the dummy isn’ t a very good copy of the real small iPhone 12. The dummy shows 3 cameras. In reality the 5.4 inch will have dual cameras, not triple.

Wow - this just gives me a headache. Sort out your iPhone lineup Apple, FFS! When these things appear in-store, I'm going to have to go in to see them to settle this. What a mess.

You will never get one again. Better to move on.
Never say never, Apple has proven it is capable of changing it's mind and bringing something back. Pro audio people use headphones with jacks, as bluetooth simply isn't quality enough. There is still a jack on all Macs, including of course, the ultimate flagship, the Mac Pro. Removal of the jack from iPhones never made any sense in the first place, it was, and is, simply hubris.

I will be ordering the largest screen available, but that 5.4" is pretty close to the original SE so hopefully it is a viable option for those who really prefer the original SE's physical dimensions.
Agree, and count me among them, as long as Apple doesn’t decide that people who want a smaller form factor also want a less capable camera system, less storage, or some other deficit. Naturally I’d accept shorter battery life since the battery will in all likelihood be smaller.

It’s funny to watch people whine like little girls over something that hasn’t been announced and have zero clue what the final product will look like and what features it’ll have.

Here you go

Wow I cannot believe how much of a difference 5.4 vs 5.8 looks. This solidified my jump to the 6.1 pro. I absolutely love the 5.8 size of my 11 Pro and definitely do not want to go down at all in size.

The future is 32:9.

the iPhone 12 Pro is going to be one huge phone I think?

That phone was just Essential Project Gem, the last attempt at an Essential Phone 2 before the company closed down. But the 12 Pro will be huge compared to this new 5.4 😁

To me the 5.4 looks like perfection and a worthy 2020 replacement for the 2016 SE. It will certainly be my next phone.

With large screens being here to stay, this model is the best we could have hoped for. It is much better suited to one-handed operation than the iPhone XS I have used for 20 months on which I can do some things one-handed, but the 5.4 will still not have the ideal size for that. But to me this aspect is minor in the context of the whole package and not a deal breaker. It's not everything.

I have no desire for Pro features anymore, as I have said before.

I still have my 2016 SE and will start using it again a few weeks before I return the iPhone XS when the lease ends and will use it until the 5.4 becomes available, whenever that ends up being.

Also the amazingly-stupid “Siri/sleep button directly across from volume up landscape shutter button.” Wow that was an epic-facepalm-worthy design fail. That should go down in history as Most Stupid Ideas.
That one is seriously annoying, when I go to capture a great spur-of-the-moment picture, and... turn off the display and lock the phone. By the time you recover the moment has passed and you won’t get that photo opportunity again. Super frustrating, but hey, it made the phone nicely symmetrical to fit Jony’s fashion sense.

@iZac is da real MVP! just about a week ago I was looking around for some better comparison photos myself and couldn’t find anything decent. These are great! Well, except that it’s a little bigger than I had hoped. It’s for my wife. She wasn’t happy the new SE was so much bigger. At least this is smaller. It’s something. Just wanted it to be closer to the original SE for her. How do the women on the forums keep their phones in their tiny jean pockets? My wife claims anything larger just isn’t going to fit.

As for me, I’ll be getting the 12 Pro. Would definitely consider the smaller one if it was fully featured. Oh well!

If I could reach into the grave for one question to Steve Jobs it would be what does he think of the 2020 Apple probably having close to 1000 SKU's when his first big fist pound when he was brought back was to minimize the amount of different products sold.

iPhone 12 dummy models based on leaked schematics have been starting to circulate online and in online marketplaces.

Not happy with the circulating size comparisons between the rumored 5.4" iPhone 12 and the original iPhone SE models, MacRumors forum user iZac took matters into his own hands and purchased his own 5.4" dummy model to provide more detailed size comparisons between the original iPhone SE and iPhone 7 and the rumored 5.4" iPhone 12.

iPhone SE, 5.4" iPhone 12 model, iPhone 7

iZac and others in the thread are looking towards the 5.4" iPhone 12 as potentially replacing their original iPhone SE (4-inch screen) as a one-handed device. Overall, he feels that he can get used to the small size difference with the upcoming device:

iZac found that the rumored 5.4" iPhone is about 6mm wider than the original iPhone SE and about 3mm narrower than the iPhone 7:

iZac also approximates the upcoming 5.4" iPhone 12 to be approximately 1mm thicker than the SE.

The iPhone 12 is rumored to be released this fall in three different sizes. Rumors indicate we'll see a 5.4-inch iPhone, a 6.7-inch iPhone, and two 6.1-inch iPhones. 5.4 inches is smaller than the current iPhone 11 Pro (5.8 inches), while 6.7 inches is bigger than the current iPhone 11 Pro Max (6.5 inches).

Personally, I am fond of the smaller screen iPhones than the bigger screens. They are much more comfortable.
