Haha. Oh the possibilities![]()
I've always wanted a 5 inch iPod, but I don't want a 5 inch iPad. They're practically the same thing though, right?![]()

Really? A pound and a half. If it's heavy do literally 2 push-ups a day for a week. I'm sure you'll be able to handle it.
Not like my textbooks for school are 8 pounds each. I just couldn't imagine holding a device that weighed a pound and a half. How do you guys do it?![]()
I knew it--have posted this before. It's going to be when the new OS for the iPad comes out, which was previously said to be September. I say late September, perhaps November, definitely in time for the official start of the holiday shopping season (Friday after Thanksgiving).
An iPad the approximate form factor of the Kindle would be compelling--still nice and big, probably lighter to hold while reading for extended periods.
to targe e-book reader, are those iPads capable of letting people read the screen for hours without suffering eye-bleeding?
or is apple still stand by its statement that people just don't read for a long period of time?
also 9.7" screen is a expensive; if they can pull of $299 7" iPad who knows it might sell very well ?
the only reason Gizmodo was able to obtain the phone in the first place was due to the fact that Apple employee had to put the phone down. After all, holding it causes dropping calls, what option did the poor guy have?
now... if iPad shuts off when holding, we might very well have some very juicy leak infos
This has to be a joke.
1.5 lb. heavythe current iPad heavy because of Alu back
Makes no sense, Apple won't fragment the iPad market that quickly, especially since the current model is selling so well. Also, no need for such small devices, since you basically are down in the ipod touch/iphone arena then, especially on a 5.6 inch screen.
Targeting ebook readers doesn't seem in Apple's plans, as they are going for a more high end and multiple use platform. I think they are willing to leave that low cost/small screen ebook market to the nook/sony/kindle.
i think apple is going to allow printing with the iPad at the iOS 4 update in fall for the 9.7" model.
