curved or not change the damn icons and let people put more on the home screens.

S7 edge curved isn't as good as how the screen looks on the rumoured S8. The curved screen there doesn't seem anywhere near as bad

Yea, because you sound convincing and really own that device. Lol. Just like "many" users here. Lol.

Note Edge came out = curve screens are gimmicks!

Iphone X with curve screen = we had "curve form factor" since 2014! Yay! We are not copying! Since curve form factor = edge display!

Are you ok?

I'd be curious about so many inputs at the very bottom edge of the screen. I wonder if we'd either get a) many unintentional taps and/or b) more drops because of decreased stability when holding. It would also seem to limit potential case options.

The buttons on the smart bar only work with 3d touch, like the home button on iPhone 7, so no accidental touches. I can press the home button fine now, i don't see any problem moving my thumb left or right a little to press other buttons.

I hope that Apple will not offer curved screen. Unless it's used for something. On the other hand more than a rounded screen, it is rather an iPhone without edge that interests me.

The Galaxy edges look cool, but they have some pretty serious screen distortion at the edge and the edge shortcuts weren't very ergonomic.

You have obviously never used a Galaxy edge, I have one in my hand right now and there is zero distortion as small text wraps round the edge. Don't believe the biased anti edge media brigade....

You are "obviously" wrong, as I am holding one in my hand right now as. I will believe what my eyes tell me. At most angles, the screen become darker at one edge and looks unnatural. It offers little benefit to me and often prompts mis-taps or fails to register edge taps. The flat version is much better imo.

So we have moved onto being darker at the edges and unnatural, a while ago it was unreadable text.. we need to work on our consistency.

I'll try and take a pic of my edge with another phone to prove how much a non issue the edge is...

It looks distorted because it gets darker at the edge, making the image uneven. I don't know why you're getting so worked up about this. If you don't have a problem with it, great.

I'm not getting worked up, I'm simply trying to halt the FUD info that the edge displays somehow make the text unreadable. This is simply not the case, for anyone.. unless they have some weird agenda...

That sounds interesting. You're certainly right about the current home button.
