Can Thunderbolt 4 output to 8k 60? All monitors are crap so I'd only be interested in an 8k Apple display.

Waiting for the YouTube geeks to compare Mini M2 Pro to the entry M1 Studio Mac for creative software like Final Cut

I think the Mac Studio gets a silent update to M2 Max/Ultra in the following weeks, maybe days.
in that case id snatch up a discounted M1 Studio because who cares for faster wifi and bluetooth. I still think the Apple Time Capsule from a decade ago is fast and great. Also who cares about some 3rd party 8k monitor support? 20% CPU increase isn't a big deal.

Hmm I'm running out of storage, I thought that 512GB/32GB was enough when I did by the M1Pro. I also need the Max and not Pro for the best workflow.

So for me I might upgrade to M2 Max (base) 64GB ram and 1TB storage.

If you're spending that much on something which should last you a while, perhaps you should consider the jump to 2TB for an extra $400. It may seem expensive now, but upgrading again in a year or two will cost you more. You always need more space than you think!

This is the most frustrating aspect of modern laptops for me. I used to by the RAM/Storage I need today and then install upgrades when my needs changed. I typically end up having to upgrade my laptop because I run out SSD space, and long before lack of RAM or CPU speed gets in the way. Sure, nowadays we have cloud storage and cheap external drives, but nothing beats having the storage built-in.

Do they still have a shi**y 2x2 aerial though.

Saying WIFI 6E is meaningless without the details.
The m1 macbook pros only have 2x2 so the wifi6 is basically useless and is the same speed you got on the old i9 macbook pros with .ac wifi but had 3x3 aerials.

My OCD went nuts when I got an M1 Pro space grey and noticed the silver magsafe cord. I was like how was this an oversight. Good no one will have to experience that anymore.

I think these are totally worth picking up instead of the M1 variants if you are upgrading from anything BESIDES the M1 series. If you have an M1 series, probably worth holding on until M3. But if you are new to Mac or coming from an Intel Mac, these are totally worth it IMO.
As expected, but that's fine. Updating them with each new chip they develop annually is what they should be doing.

Stifling my incremental yawn.

In Apple Park these days, it seems to be minor spec bump every time. Even MR uses the word "tidbits'.
