I don't think it's a simple as that. Yes, most that care about AI have been using other chatbots and don't care much about Siri for that. But it's the integration that matters as far as Siri. The ideal that we hopefully get is to have the integration working well AND have all the power of whatever chatbot we want working seamlessly together.I think the only one who cares about Siri is Apple. I wonder if one of those extensions will be a Classic Siri that doesn’t integrate with any third party services. 🤔iPhone users will be able to choose which services they want to use inside Siri through a new "Extensions" option coming to the Siri and Apple Intelligence section in the Settings app.
Actually what Apple promised is that those features would be “rolling out in the coming year” in March 2025, and we still, in March 2026, have yet to see a single one of them.
Apple’s promises mean nothing anymore, let’s stop pretending they do.
Don’t say Sadie. Not a big deal.
It’ll be interesting to see how Apple’s marketing department tries to convince Apple users that Google’s Gemini is now Apple’s AI.😛
We should all thank Google for getting Siri 2.0 up and running. 😈
What a waste of time and resources.
I won’t believe until I try it. You are right 27.4 or more, they need to find another name for Siri, it has a bad reputation.Yes, but even if this comes in IOS27, it could come in 27.4, 13 months from now. And, as we have seen with other Apple AI and Siri updates, it could be later than this.
The problem is anything else by definition cannot be better than Siri because of Apple not allowing 3rd party apps to integrate with an operating system. Yeah, we have chatbots like Gemini and ChatGPT for general knowledge, simple text tasks etc. but it is far from convenience to manually put content there. You cannot ask ChatGPT to find stuff in your email until you somehow put your inbox content there.I think the only one who cares about Siri is Apple. Actually, it still is the only assistant you can easily call with a magic word who has access to the entire OS and your data.I think the only one who cares about Siri is Apple. Everyone else moved on to better stuff a long time ago
