Why would google want to get in bed with a piece of crap like siri?

Google pays $20 billion annually to be the default search engine on iPhones. Now Apple will pay $1 billion to have Gemini power Siri. For Google, it's like getting a discount on their bill.

Can we just get sandboxed/limited device access for Claude and the ability to plug Max subscription into it?

At this point Apple Intelligence is just a vapourware piece of crap.

The only thing I want it to do is behave like Samantha in "Her." Have it look through my emails and say, "I'm deleting 13000 emails you don't need."

To me, the only justifiable use of AI is the teddy bear in Spielberg and Kubrick’s AI movie

2. It will interrupt you all the time in order to "help" you
3. Every iOS upgrade will change the look and feel of Siri Chatbot so you can experience it in a brand new exciting way!! JOY!!
4. It will continue Siri's unprecedented tradition of autocorrecting the simplest misspelled words to words that have absolutely zero context to your sentence. For example: "Dad, I'll be homr at 5:30pm" will change to "Dad, I'll be hero at 5:30pm."
5. It will make its debut appearance in iOS 27.9.9.9.14.9.9.28.4.0 in September 2029 (look!...the version ends in ".0" so it MUST be good!)

Not me. I don’t use it at all and have no plan to in the future.

That's cool....the rest of us will that like the advance in tech....hell, my wife used her S26 Ultra to order us an Uber Friday night! Didn't touch the phone until it was ready to confirm, just said "Hey Google, get me an uber to XXX" the assistant did it in the background, let her know when it was ready and the ride was on it's way!! Pretty amazing actually!
