Got the Gold colour and I'm loving it!
I always wanted a white front iPhone and the gold has that while adding some colour to the mix (always found the silver a little monotone/plain)

Had a look at the gold in an Apple store the other day - looks much lower key than I had thought. Personally I'll be getting the Space Grey. Always been a "black" iPhone guy.

WOW, and your gunna cover it with a red case!!!??? whats the point?

My opinion after the scuffgate on the black/slate ip5, is the white will hold up best, the black and gold will scuff over time. I say even the ring around the home button will fade with finger grease over time.

Got the 16GB in Space Gray. Looks good in the pictures. Wonder why they dumped the black and graphite.

Having finally got to see a good picture of the "ring" on the space grey model I have changed my mind and will be going with white/silver. I like they way the two white models have a Touch ID ring that is more visible

I've been trying to make it fail since Friday morning, so far it's been extremely accurate and has not failed to unlock even once when using a registered print.

You will need to know the password, if there are a certain number of failed attempts it defaults to the pass code only to unlock.

The password is required after restarting the phone as well as after a couple failed attempts with the finger print scanner. I've not yet had to input my password due to failed attempts, but have turned the phone off and on and then been required to input my password.

Saw the gold in person at the Apple Store. It was nice but after seeing it, wasn't as unhappy about being stuck with the space grey. All of my iPhones have always been black so I thought it might be time for a change so, before I saw it up close and personal, gold became my first choice. I was a bit skeptical about the white front. That said the space gray is beginning to grow on me. I find it especially attractive with the black Sosche bumper case. I've always gone naked in the past but was concerned about getting scuff marks on the back. The Sosche bumper protects the edges and raises the phone a bit when laid down on a surface. It provides minimal protection while allowing the true beauty of that gorgeous back and shimmering glass front to show. I'll still monitor the availability of the gold phone in case I desire an exchange, but it seems like the longer I have this the more I'm beginning to like it

So far it has worked flawlessly for me. I, personally, would be comfortable using a randomly generated pass code on my iPhone. I would just store it, along with all of my other passwords on 1 password, which is on my iMac and all of my mobile devices, in case I forget it

Yes, I found that ring to be one of the most attractive features of the gold phone. It would have been nice if they had used silver or another contrasting color for the ring on the space grey phone. If they had done that I probably wouldn't have even considered the gold as my first choice . . . Maybe
