I always tell people go with your gut. Do you still really want the phone even in spite of the 'girly' feeling? Or do you want your space grey one back?

Personally, I know guys who use the white one and I don't see a problem with it. :p

The Gold iPhone is definitely the girls' phone.

Silver is a sign of a hip, modern man.

You did good.

Silver 32gb for me, Space Gray 16gb for the wifey. Or, as the store rep called them, 1 white and one black.

Swapped back to Space Grey...Home again.

I returned the Space Grey for Silver/White and feel like I have a girls phone... Dont get me wrong...I love the classic look...drive white car with cinnamon interior....watch is silver, wedding band is platinum/silver.....just feels like it's a girls phone....thoughts?

Your not alone. I keep wanting to switch to white but for some reason a white iPhone seems like a girls phone. I would get a white car, no problem, but a white phone TO ME just screams GIRLY.

So you don't want to spend "your" money on the phone you want because of how you feel you will be judged by your peers?

I got the gold and it is amazing.

I've been trying to make it fail since Friday morning, so far it's been extremely accurate and has not failed to unlock even once when using a registered print.

You will need to know the password, if there are a certain number of failed attempts it defaults to the pass code only to unlock.

The password is required after restarting the phone as well as after a couple failed attempts with the finger print scanner. I've not yet had to input my password due to failed attempts, but have turned the phone off and on and then been required to input my password.

Ok so basically I wanted to set a passcode that I wouldn't remember (And therefore really hard to guess) and store it at home in case I need it. Would you recommend not doing that incase I have to turn it off and back on at school, work etc. Maybe make a hard passcode but still remember it?

I got silver/white. I was tired of obsessing over the tiny little nicks my black iPhone 5 got along the edge of the bezel, when it slipped out of my hands and smacked against an aluminum Apple keyboard. I'm betting that any scuffs or nicks won't be as obvious with the silver.

Ok, after changing my mind about sprint, I ended up with two space gray 16gb Verizon from best buy. But the salesman told me that I have 14 days to do an even exchange, and said that if any BB gets a color I like better in that time, I can just switch them out for free. I might switch to silver or gold if the become available.

Just make a hard code you can remember. Something like both your parents date of birth, backwards.

Silver/White here and could not be happier.

Me too. I was pretty overly concerned about it looking "too feminine" or "not professional", but this is definitely not how I feel about it now that I have it in-hand. I also slapped on a black apple leather case, and now I bet women would think that it looks 'too masculine' for them to use ;)

Gold for me. I went black for the first time since my original iPhone 3G when I got an iPhone 5. The black metal band was just so sexy. Now they've removed that and replaced it with an ugly gray color so I'll be going back to White. White/Gold this time.

White/Gold, I like it. Not really worried about if some dude thinks I have a girly phone.
IMO the white looks much cleaner.

This coming from a guy with 2 Black F350 Super Duty's and a Black SUV.

I don't get it. Seems like overwhelming majority of MR forums users go for Space Grey iPhone 5 s (almost double of the other options) and yet this is the only colour that is readily available for purchase in all countries around the world with Silver and Gold having major supply issues.
Am I missing something here? If anything it should be other way around, what gives..?
Btw; I ordered Silver and White for two reasons:
1. Scuffs are not visible
2. White and Silver is the "true" Apple colour
PS; If Apple have released Black front and Silver back, I would be 100% satisfied ;)

Space gray for me. That'd be my first iPhone and I've always found black to be the most beautiful color for the phone. Now, I only need to wait for God knows how long to eventually get my hands on it.

I previously had the Black / Slate iPhone 5. I then brought the iPhone 5S Space Grey. However, i then swapped it out for a Gold model.

Personally, for me having the Space Grey felt like i had never upgraded from the iPhone 5 and all i brought was another iPhone 5. I personally dont care what another man thinks to be honest, color is color! White will probably hold it's value the most over time. I also get the feeling more Apple products are moving to Gold (Judging by the Gold iPad Mini 2 leaks today).

I have had a Black iPhone since the 3G! Time for a change, at least with Gold you actually feel like you have an iPhone 5S (If that makes sense).

It makes no sense, just because it's gold, actually.

I feel like I have an iPhone 5S with my white/silver 5S because I unlock it with TouchID, and that it has a silver ring around the home button indicating that it's a TouchID phone. Period.
