Carrier 5S order through AT&T not shipping until 10/21?

Gaaaaah, this is killing me, seeing all of your orders ship and knowing I canceled my AT&T order because they weren't showing any movement by 09/24.

Ordered two phones through AT&T Premier Site on Tues, 9/24 around 3:40 in the afternoon.
16 GB Space Grey had estimate of 10/3-10/14.
Got shipping confirmation today with FedEx tracking, will arrive on Tuesday, 10/1.
16 GB Gold has estimate 11/1-11/21.
Currently has phone in "Preparing to Ship" with SIM "Processing"
I'll update when the gold ships. I'm hopeful that it will come before November.

I ordered a 32GB Space Gray 5s on 9/28 at 6pm, via AT&T online. It initially showed "Processing - Estimated Shipping Oct 8-21" I received a confirmation today at 12:01pm indicating that it already shipped and will be delivered on 10/2!
Not bad for 18 hours from order to ship, during a weekend!

That's great man! I placed my order yesterday around 12pm on the ATT website for 16gb Space Grey 5S and around 7pm yesterday my order went from processing to preparing for shipment. Now it states pending shipment. Hopefully I hear good news soon!

last thursday,on the 26th, the status changed to "preparing for shipping".
But Shipping Date estimate remains same as when I made the order: 10/21/13 - 10/30/13*

GOLD iPhones Backordered!
Just keep in mind that Apple sold over 9 million new iPhones in their first weekend's launch.Apparently all Gold iPhones are backordered since Apple did not expect a high demand on them, building more Black and Gray versions, reason why these latter ones are shipping faster.

old news but stupid on apples part. I can't find a solid reason on why they offered 3 NEW colors of the 5s, massed produced the space grey and NOT think people would want other colors. we will probably never know the correct answer to this. I don't understand it?

Since then my phone has been saying preparing to ship and sim processing.
I see where some people placed order on same date and received info on shipment...by any chance does the state affect when you receive your order, if so any one in CT area received there phone as yet or any news?

my fiancé's gold iPhone 5s has been saying that for the last few days. ordered late launch day in store.

What's unreliable? Orders placed 9/20 still have not shipped.
wow thats what I find weird some people who I see ordered on launch date has not received there phone as yet while others ordered after and same model like you have received there phone. Thats why i'm wondering if the state plays a part in how your order is fulfilled
well..apple surprised the apple haters, hoping their phones would not sell twice as much as last year..I guess even apple was not expecting to sell that many this year neither. Whatever they're doing..it's working.They are one of the biggest companies(if not the biggest) in US
the people who are getting theirs is those who ordered the space grey, maybe 64GB of the gold and silver. most of the common orders like the 16GB and maybe some 32GB are the ones in the most demand and are still waiting....patiently.
I think this true for the most part. I did see this post this morning on att forums which had me say WTF:

My 32g Gold shipped on Saturday and is supposed to arrive today!

Because of upgrade eligibity issues, I ordered the 32G Gold 5s over the phone as soon as the call center opened (which for me was 7am PST on 9/20, by the time the order was placed it was probably about 7:30). I received an email with the shipment date of 9/25 - 9/27 which a few days later changed to 10/21-10/30. The Sim changed from backordered to processing on Tuesday but didn't see any changes until the shipment notification on Saturday.
This leads me to believe that something went wrong with the ordering system and they did not process in the order that they were received.

Just got this email from att.....it means nothing to me and I cut out a lot of the numbers because it was too large to post here:
I did find my web order number in this sea of numbers and it was preceded by a 9105xxxx, It did have my name at the top and my address at the bottom but I cut it out.

not too sure I understand your 2 previous post but you can check the status of your order through www.att.com/wirelessorderstatus and use your phone number.
Gold iphone 5s saga
Ordered my iPhone 5s gold 32gb at 12:23 AM on 9/20 through AT&T because I couldn't get into the Apple site. I don't understand that because I pre filled all my info, anyway until last Thursday my status was back ordered and I spoke to at least 4 customer care (HA HA) reps and had 5 on line chats for updates. never once did I get the same information or any information.
Last Thursday the 26th the phone shipped, but I didn't get it until today because AT&T didn't authorize Saturday delivery.
I have nothing but compassion and good thoughts for you poor souls still waiting.

I got the same type of e-mail. Was excited at first but then realized it was probably just a flub in their system.
