The worst part is I sold my phone so I am phoneless until I get my order but when I placed my order thru apple it said 1 -3 days, so I figured I could live with that

Ordered a Space Gray 32gb today at 7am.
Shipping notification today 6:30pm.
Shipped via FedEx (did not pay for overnight) and is scheduled to arrive on Monday.

Same here. Just got the email with tracking number. Gold 64GB ordered at 12:05am PST on launch and will arrive on Monday. My original ship date also indicated 10/1-10/30.
Ordered 2x 32GB Space Gray from the cancelation department last night.
The one line wasnt ready for a full upgrade until October 2014, they processed a full upgrade for me on that one. $299, waived activation fee.
The second one was upgrade elegible, I was given a $100 discount on a new device. $199 for the 32GB, waived activation fee.
Both of these have already shipped, will be here Monday. On October 8th I can get two more, both with $100 discounts.
First experience ordering from AT&T instead of Apple. So far I'm thrilled.

Yeah looks like they get them in batches by the gb, we saw some 16gb gold ship, now 64gb gold.
Well, I'm about tired of waiting for this phone to arrive - 16bg gold. If I don't have it in my hands by Friday I will be cancelling my AT&T order and just try my luck getting one from a local Apple store. Two weeks is long enough for me. Hopefully they'll bring back the in-store pickup option on Monday, as reported.

Besides your SIM has been processing for a while now I bet it'll ship within this week! Just hold on a little longer. I haven't seen much activity on the weekends from anyone so I wouldn't count these days.

I ordered on 9/20 at 3:30 am. Initially I tried ordering through the Apple site, but it was posting some error message so I wasted 20 minutes, then woke up my husband and had him order it from his phone lol...
I had the Apple error messages too. It made me so mad that I wasted time trying to figure out why the order wouldn't go through. I ended up placing my order around 12:15am PST. Actually, AT&T started taking orders about 15 minutes early and if I had known that I wouldn't be able to order through Apple I would have placed my ATT order a lot sooner.
I too noticed that a lot of people stated that the AT&T site was taking orders earlier, but for me it was on the event page. Perhaps I should have refreshed the page? Hopefully we see some movement this week
