No offence against people who like Apple but I was originally an Android fangirl. I'm not impressed with Apple after the 5c.

That was the only device from Apple I've had zero issues with honestly.

Looking at the iPhone X specs page, it’s says you only get a crappy 5w charger in the box for your £1000 or £1150. Really Apple?? You promote fast charging and then have the absolute cheek to include a 5w charger like all other iPhones, even the 12w charger would have been something and probably cost about £2 extra.
That’s poor Apple. Very poor indeed. Leaves a sour taste for me
Do you have ipad pro? If so, do you have 29 w adapter?

Totally agree, OP. The nickel and diming from Apple has taken on another level with this 5w crap on their premium phone. A Lightning to USB-C cable should be included, too. Inexcusable coming from the company that is now literally all-in on USB-C on their Mac line.

Which phone? (Your case is quite atypical from most posts & experiences I’ve seen on MRF.)
6. I still periodically get the instant-jump-to-30%-from-70% problem.

Bottom line - no way can I get thru a full day without charging again.

Ever since Apple decided to get deep into the dongle business with the MBP, did you honestly think they'd miss the opportunity to make you buy another accessory?

Then you definitely have a faulty battery or abnormal usage conditions (such as very poor signal), as that phone usually gets better life.

To the point: to imply that all iPhones have poor battery life because your iPhone 6 does seems...intentionally naive (to put it one way).

Apple is probably going to sell out of the iPhone X almost immediately and there will be shortages of it for 6 months probably despite costing $1000 and not having a fast charger.

I have an iPad Pro and just eventually just broke down and bought a 29 watt charger and usb c to lightning cable off of eBay and Amazon. I also went to the Apple Store and randomly yelled at them to "Shut up and take my money!" and ordered some Apple coolaid as well.

As time goes by and see what Apple does (or doesn't do), the more that idea is cemented into my brain.

Apple has changed from making insanely great products which turn a profit, focusing how to maintain or increase profits and making design decisions based on profitability.

Read something recently about Apple's cash hoard pushing upwards of $260B.

Really? It will probably go up by at least a billion or two by the time everyone buys a respectable charger.

I might finally pick up an Apple 29W charger now.

I already have a Lightning to USB-C cable, but until now I've only used the included chargers. I usually just charge at night. The iPhone SE charges fast even with the 5W. My iPad Pro 10.5" charges fine with the 12W. I didn't think I've ever been standing at my bedside thinking "COME ON! I GOTTA GO! HURRY!" Since I just charge over night I didn't care if it was slow.

Now that I finally have an iPad and an iPhone that can take advantage I think I'll finally pick one up. I can use it to charge the iPad and if there is every an emergency I can fast charge my phone.

Heck, after Irma I didn't have power for 5 days. I was at an Applebees with cables coming out of my pants into this little wall socket. I will admit it was slow standing there for 2 hours to charge my phone, iPad and mother's iPhone 6S Plus...yeah...I think I will get that 29W.
