It depends on what they have stolen right as to whether or not Apple can deactivate the device or freeze it?

The question is: just how many parts can you sell of a M1-MBA?
Apart from the battery maybe.
Everything else is soldered down or even part of the SOC-package.

Maybe you can sell the display - unless Apple has already married that to the computer, too.

That's a whole lotta people who aren't going to get their Apple stuff when they thought they were.

And given the truck was found at Lutterworth, which is basically a huge distribution hub with a town attached, they could be anywhere and everywhere by now.

Some poor buyer will be paying good money to give their kids a brick for Christmas.

One guy posted that his Mini HomePod that he was expecting has had the delivery date pushed back to next week so he may have been affected

well... this is a surprise of an article to read about!

They'd be dumb to sell it locally, will probably be spread out across black market in China or somewhere else overseas.

Still, I don't understand how they could get away with this employing any tactic, with highly traceable devices?

Apple knows what was in those shipments, and they'll be hunting down any that connect to the Internet to get more info where they came from, etc.

the Caravan Club strike again I reckon, given the area I would imagine many of those nice shiny Macs will end up in houses that have as many wheels as the cars towing them...
