I have both (for now). Get the 6 Plus. Bigger and more beautiful display and battery life so good that you don't even have to worry about battery life anymore. The 6 definitely feels more pocketable and perfect in the hand but the trade off is worth getting the Plus.

I am trying to finalize which one to get. I have held both? Yes the Plus is really big and the 6 is big. I still have a 4s, and it's starting to poop out. Suggestions?

I went to the Apple store and tried out both. I did not like the 6+. Too big for the pocket IMO. Not incredibly so, but just enough. Same for one handed use. I picked up the regular 6 and love it. All of the iOS8 issues I had with my 5s seem to be gone as well.

Also, the 6+ hardware design looked odd to me. I couldn't put my finger on it, but it just looked....fat, haha idk! :D I think the Note 4 is the best choice for a phablet, if you really want a big screen (and wouldn't mind android of course). It's slightly smaller than the 6+, has a bigger screen, and a better display.

But it's all personal preference. If you think the 6+ is really for you, get it, and you can always exchange it. If after a week it just sucks living with a huge phone, go switch it for the regular one.

I went with the 6+ because of the gorgeous screen and great battery life. The 6 is a great phone if you don't like the size of the +.

I've got both 6 and 6+, and find myself liking both.

So it depends, really.

If you need superb battery life and don't mind the large screen, go for the 6+.

Otherwise, the regular 6 is identical to it (besides battery life and OIS in the camera, and absence of iPad-style landscape mode).

The iPhone 6 has OIS via software. Unlike the plus which has it via hardware.

The iPhone 6 does not have IOS via software, it has IS via software. The plus has IOS via hardware and IS via software.

It's really difficult to advise you on which phone to get. Ultimately only you know which phone is right for you.

I got the 6 plus for the following reasons:

The 6 is too small. I've used 5.0'' + android devices (note 1, note 3, S4, S5) for nearly three years so the 6 was always going to be too small.

1080p resolution on the plus. I wasn't going to use a 720p display when I'd been using 1080p on android phones for well over a year and knowing that there are 2K displays on phones.

Better battery life on paper. In real life the battery on the 6 plus is a beast, much better than I even imagined it would be.

The plus has OIS.

How much can you afford? if you afford the 6+ go for it If not, go with the 6. Battery life and coverage really boils down to the individual and location. I say location because that really makes an impact on the battery life.

And returning it:)

I've been using one for months. And I'm a woman with small hands.

My son has one, also. He's 24 and loves it.

We've owned every model of iPhone ever made.

I upgrade yearly.

If you don't like it, I really don't care. What devices we carry that work for each of us are purely individual preference.

My husband carries a 6. Our younger two each prefer the 5s.

Prefer. That's all it is. Preference. It varies. If there's no market for something, nobody sells it. Phablets do indeed have a market.

I don't personally know anyone else with a 6 Plus; they all opted for the 6 and think the Plus is too big. This seems to be the general consensus as I've only seen a few Pluses in the wild.

That's alright though, it doesn't bother me as I love the 6+ and would never return or exchange for a 6. In fact, I returned my 6 to get the 6+ :). The larger screen makes the device more enjoyable to use and the battery life is fantastic.

I was in the same dilemma, I had a iPhone 5. I decided to go with the 6+, with Verizon you have two weeks to try it out. i went big if i didn't like it then I would have downsized. If i started with the 6 i would never know how the plus was. Yesterday was two weeks, still have the plus and love it. Could never see going smaller. I get two days on battery too.

I chose both. My usage patterns while working require the 6 PLUS for its display size.

My iPhone 6 is for providing the variety that I enjoy when not using a smartphone for work.

This is a very difficult decision! I didn't even fully decide until the day I went to buy the phone. I got the 6, my husband got the plus. We are both happy with our choices. The plus looks awesome, but I didn't want any awkwardness in using my phone in daily life. Maybe next upgrade I'll go bigger, but for now the gradual size increase is best for me. The 6 is still plenty big. :)

Run a poll. And choose the phone based on community vote. Or buy the one that you like the most, your just going to get biased feedback from people justifying thier purchase. Easiest way to eliminate the plus, does it feel really ackward, something you could not use or carry on a daily basis? If not, and it feels great, why not go the bigger screen......but here I am justifying my purchase....doh!!!
