I went for 6 plus, can't go back now. I was one of the guys who thought it was too big at first, but it grows on you.

At first I was questioning my plus choice, but today it feels completely normal. When I go I to the apple store and see the regular 6, it just seems tiny...

There are a few occasions when I wish I could have a little better one handed use, but the fact that I don't ever touch my iPad or iPad mini any more is awesome. I'm no longer worried about whether I need to upgrade the iPads. I don't even use the ones I have because of my phone.

I was a 4s user making the jump. And I went with the 6 thinking the 6+ was too big of a jump. But now honestly I'm so used to the 6 now I kinda wish I got a 6+. But I still really do like my phone. I guess the 7 version I'd get a plus

I bought the plus expressly for forestall ever getting an iPad, because my work and my preference is to be on a Macbook Air all the time. So the 6 plus delivers a nicer viewing experience and ability to better show my product photos to customers in an impromptu fashion without dragging an iPad along with my laptop. At networking events, it's easy to pop out the 6 plus from a jacket pocket to demonstrate to interested parties.

I bought 6+ and the main reason was big screen and battery. One of my mate got 6 but he always talk about its bad battery. Otherwise 6 is also a good phone. Its up to one choice, if you can handle the big device then 6+ is definitely a good option.

My experience: I bought the 6 plus on launch day and was happy at first. Then I started doubting my decision and I think it had a lot to do with the threads here on MR. I started thinking it wasnt portable enough, hard to hold, everything that was promoted here by 6 owners. So I ordered the 6 from Apple. And while I waited on the 6, the 6 Plus started to shrink... A LOT!!! Now it feels completely normal. I'm used to holding it, using it, carrying it. I absolutely love it. So before the 6 even arrived, I realized I was going to keep the Plus. I never even opened the 6. Just sent it right back to Apple, unopened. Best decision EVER. Now, none of you envious 6 owners could convince me otherwise!

FWIW, one of my assistants bought the 6. Its seems too small now.

Good luck!

I got the Plus a few days ago and it is an AMAZING device, but I'm going to return it for a regular 6. It's just impractically large for me. The screen, speaker, and battery life almost make up for the size trade off but, especially since I have a newborn, not being able to comfortably one-hand the phone makes it just too big for me. It's also kinda uncomfortable in my pants pocket. I mean...it is freaking huge.

If you can roll with the lack of one handing and having a huge, and noticeable, bulge in your pants - for sure get the Plus.

I feel like if they can somehow get the bezels down a bit and customize the software for one handing the size a bit better, I'm so onboard with that screen size.

Its a love hate affair for the 6+. After having it since launch day, can't live without the larger screen and extra battery life anymore !!

It's really huge, requiring 2 hands for most use. But it help us stop and think whether we should really be using our phone while crossing the street or driving. My palm and pockets basically got used to the size quite quickly

As somebody who just traded their 6 Plus for a 6 (switched with my dad), I'd say get the one that you feel comfortable using, especially one-handed.

Misc. observations: the 6 Plus seems to lag more and it has some bugs that the 6 doesn't for whatever reason (such as Control Centre occasionally being stubborn and not opening on the lock screen for the 6 Plus, usually after not using the phone for a bit of time). Also, the battery life difference between these two phones isn't as massive as I thought it was. Yes, the 6 Plus is significantly better, but if we're talking 13 hours instead of 11 hours on Wi-Fi (less than an hour difference on LTE) (Source), I'm not going to lose any sleep over the two-hour difference.

But all of that is irrelevant to the biggest issue, which, for me, was the one-handed lack of usability. I'm 6 foot 2 and have pretty large hands and I still struggled to handle the 6 Plus. When I had the 6 Plus, every time I used somebody's 6, putting aside screen size difference obsession, there was just something about its usability with one hand that made it so much nicer to flick around on. The 4.7s feel more "available" to me. The 6 Plus feels like I have to put in more work to get what I want, and the extra .7" isn't as important to my YouTube-watching career as I thought it would be.

So yes, go to the store and try both. Put extra emphasis on one-handed usage and ignore the whole "but I'll just use it with two hands" because - this is the real world - phones are very often used with one hand. You shouldn't have to dedicate half your limbs to operate a phone. If you have very large hands and it's not a problem, then go for it.

I think the battery difference is big. I had the iPhone 6 and I could get 5-5,5 hours of intensive usage (Internet, etc - no games). With my Plus I get at least 9,5 hours and sometimes 10. It's like an iPad and I don't have to think about draining the battery at all. I can get through the day with no issues whatsoever.

Well I'm just going off scientific tests, don't mind me. :)

I get 9.5-10 hours with my 6+ too, but many people claim to have got not too far off that with their 5S....
The 8.1.2 update robbed me of at least an hour and I hope the next update rectifies that because 10.5-11 hours is much more like it from a battery this big.

Certainly a personal choice and one you should make after holding both phones. For me, the 6 Plus just seems a bit too big--especially going form a 4S. Seems as easy to hold and use as the 4S only much easier to type with--and it feels lighter and easier to hold--so I'm happy with it.

iPhone 6 Plus.

It's got bugs and annoyances but being ergonomically ideal at least it's comfortable. I can't help but think Apple will get the next one right.

That is what I am afraid of. It's plenty big at the start, and when you thought you are used to the size, it grows on you.

How big is yours now?

I like my 6+, but I use my ipad more often now because I prefer its screen size. If I had the choice again, I would probably go with the smaller version. But as others have said, it depends on your preference, usages, and lifestyle.

6+ love it. Its not any bigger then any other phone I see people using. Example my sister has a Galaxy S5 with a case on it, it actually looks bigger than my 6+. The Galaxy is still a little smaller though. My sister said to me "that phone is huge" and I said "its the same size as your phone". THAT was the last time she said anything about it. I have seen both the 6 and the 6+ in the wild its about 50/50. My mom has a 6 and for her its great. The wife has a 5C and she loves it, so everyone is a little different. I do think that if they made a pink 6 she (the wife) would want it.
