I never considered the Plus when it was released. I was using the Moto X first gen which is perfect for one handed use.

The battery life is what drew me to the Plus. I wanted a phone that could last me all day no matter what I did with it (pretty much).

You realize quickly that you have to seriously alter how you use a phone when going from something compact to something huge. Basically in a matter of days I'm now comfortable using my Plus with 2 hands. The only time I'd attempted one handed use is if one hand absolutely can't be used. (Subway, holding a bag in my hand when getting a call, etc.)

You also have to accept that you're going to feel the phone more as you carry it around in a front pocket. It's also a brick as I walk around the gym with it in my shorts.

But the trade off is killer. Battery life, screen, performance, camera, are all truly excellent. Regarding landscape mode I have display zoom enabled and that eliminates those changes in apps in landscape.

I recommend the 6 over the Plus if you want something that excels in one handed use and is going to be much less noticeable in your front pocket as you walk around, etc.

if you need portability, then it's the 6 for you. that's the only one thing you need to consider in choosing between the two. 6+ is definitely not a portable phone and it will totally frustrate you if you're looking for a one handed iphone. other than that the 6+ is an awesome phone. i used to have the 6 and just recently got the 6+. couldn't agree more with all the members here who love their 6+.

These two post pretty much sum up everything already said and everything that will continue to be said.

The good news is that if you buy from apple they have a 14 day return policy and no restocking fee.

I think i might be happy with either i guess. I tried to go yesterday but all they had was 16gb models. and i was going to trade in my 5s (here at&t gives more than apple does) and coming from a 32gb 5s no way am i going to go lower. now its just color. i have gold now. i like the white fronts but silver and gold are hard to find, but the space gray is more gray now and the back is nice. there seems to be some 64gb 6 in space gray, but its the furthest out of the 6 at&t stores in my area. or i'll be without a phone for a week if i really want exactly silver 64. ah decisions. in the end is basically still an iPhone and all the colors are great.

i know. i was an employee for 4 years. but i left, its not as great as some people think.

all comes down to personal preference really....6 is the perfect size for me...6+ was too 'awkward'...if you use it while exercising I would highly suggest the 6...or to get an accidental damage plan lol...if you are a girl its much easier to get away with the 6+ since most will just toss is in their bags and not have to deal with it fitting into tight pockets...battery life when doing stuff besides talking closes the gap by alot..maybe like a couple of hours difference at most aka not really a deal breaker. I easily get a full day out of my 6 and it charges superfast anyways.

The 6+ has an amazing loudspeaker. Sure it's mono but warm sounding and not tinny in the slightest. I always thought the M8 had the best sounding speaker(s) and although they are stereo, they don't sound as nice as the 6+. Lots of reviewers talk about volume when they're discussing a phone's loudspeaker, but I'm more interested in sound quality. Sure most people listen through earbuds or use a bluetooth speaker, but I watch a lot of videos and some low volume music clips just using the inbuilt speaker. The sound quality on the 6+ is fantastic and it's one of the main reasons I won't be exchanging it for a 4.7" i6.

I initially went for the Plus but after 2 days I just couldn't cope with the size of it so I brought it back and ordered the 6. I use my phone basically for phone, text messaging, and FaceTime. My phone is rarely used for the internet, and I don't play games on it either, I have an iPad for that.

Ask yourself what you're going to use it for mainly and go from there would be my advice. My friend went with the Plus and she loves hers.

What a waste of a smartphone for such basic tasks. Why did you go for the 6+ in the first place?

The store closest to me has the 64 plus in silver which what I originally wanted. Gonna go there and test it out again. Might get it. I'm on my 5s now. I hate typing in portrait and I have normal hands.

That is how I use mine. I search the web here and there and use a few apps, but nothing intensive. Even my iPad is used for those few things, fantasy football, and movies/shows here and there. I charge it once every 7-10 days.

I went for the Plus because I thought I'd perhaps combine my iPad (cellular) with my iPhone. As to it being a waste of a smartphone, that's your opinion. However, I Facetime with my children who live 1000 miles away on a regular basis, and I don't consider that a waste.

thanks, its awesome so far. i have no problems holding it with one hand ( i can hold an iPad mini in one hand, but i can't use it with one) using one handed is a little tricky, like i might drop it on accident. its definitely meant for 2 to use well effectively

using both hands is a minor inconvenience to me with what the 6+ has to offer and what the 6+ has than a regular 6.

That is a pretty short list of benefits...essentially the same hardware under the surface on both phones...the only real difference that is noticeable is the screen real estate. Those "huge" battery life advantages only apply if your on 3G ...LTE brings the iPhone 6 and 6+ to within a couple hours of each other

After a few hours I'm pretty happy. It's a little big. But it's great. I've never got an iPad because I didn't see the point because my phones could do the same. But it's nice to have a nice size screen on the couch or in bed and not sit at my iMac

i never text one handed even with my old 5s so it's an easy transition to me. other's might disagree. but having a bigger screen and longer battery life is more than enough reason for me to go the 6+ route. my daughter likes her regular 6 better than my 6+. so i guess it's really a personal preference.

that's my first reaction also upon seeing the 6+ at an apple store and i said to myself that i will never buy that big phone. guess what - after having the 6 for a good 2 weeks, i decided to get the +. you'll get use to it's size and eventually will love it more. just be prepared with the portability issue.

Yea, I noticed that. Fit in my shorts pocket fine but it did take up the whole pocket. I did also go for a bike ride and part of it was exposed but it never moved. But if I go for a bike ride for a few hours I'll bring a bag. So I'll probably keep it there. Screen size is nice!

6+. Went from the 6 to the 6+. Soo much nicer. It's my phone and tablet. Video playback via iTunes, YouTube and Netflix is amazing! You get use to the size as the days go by. Web browsing is really nice also.

I see one of my local Apple Stores finally has the iPhone 6 and 6+ in space gray 64GB. I'm still on the fence as to which to get. I wanted Gold and I see inventory of Gold 6/6+ in Las Vegas where I can wait to get one next weekend. There's also inventory in San Diego where I'll be heading to in a few days.

At first, I wanted 6+, then thought about the size, so I decided 6, now I'm confused. I don't want to fight through the malls with Christmas shopping, parking, all that chaos. I need to decide before I go.

Get both. I did. You just return one you don't want. Apple has extended returns to Jan 8. Because of the holidays.
