I was just pointing out that the camera is the same on both phones and if you compared photo's side by side, you would not be able to tell which phone took which picture. The OIS on the 6 Plus is obviously a bonus but having edited photo's from a wedding a few weeks back I handled photo's from both phone's in low light conditions and I couldn't tell the difference. A steady hand and digital IS will counteract the lack of OIS on a standard 6 in my experience. Having said that if any of these points make the owner of a 6 or 6 Plus feel better about their choice then all the power to them! :)

That's an insufficient test, though, isn't it? Where's the control in that? First of all, each person shooting the photos, whether 6 or 6 plus, should have been told to ingest equal amounts of vodka and of the same brand. And that's just for starters.

It depend on your liking...

There are pros and cons of both 6 and 6+. 6+ is slightly bigger than 6. It depends on one's own choice about the display. The screen resolution on 6+ is better compared to 6. Both phones has similar camera. The most important part is the price. iPhone 6+ is costlier to 6 by almost 100 dollars.

You forgot to mention battery life which is significantly better on the 6+

That is very true. I was probably a lot more drunk than the 6 Plus user which makes it even more astonishing I had such little camera shake!

I would just add the battery life is better on the 6+ and the 6+ camera has OIS which is very nice to have.

i have a 5s now. and i'm still not sure.

plus side for the plus (lol):
landscape mode for home screen, iPad like view for mail and texts

cons for me:
a little big, i might drop it trying to use it one handed while walking, or since i bike ride just taking it out to check something quick.
battery life? (i can get 2 days out of my 5s no problem)

normal 6 pros:
fits in pocket easier, can use easier one handed
$100 less

cons for me:
no landscape like the plus
optical image stabilization would be nice although i don't know how much i would use it really.

the screen is great on both. since they're obviously bigger than the 5s i've been using for over a year.

thanks.

Just whatever you do get it from the Apple store, they are the only ones with a free return policy for 14 days, all the carriers now charge $35 restocking fees, so buy from Apple in case you do not like what you get at first, and remember 14 days to exchange it.

i got the 6 plus and i wouldn't go back

Yeah I'm in the same boat. Bought 6 launch day now I have the itch for a plus. 6 seems small still to me. Ive been to apple twice this week to walk out empty handed. Ugh !!

I did the same thing and then last Friday I finally bought the 6+. Very happy with it and (for me) the larger screen is great. I can use it pretty well one-handed and it fits in my pockets just fine. No case, just an egrips sticker on the back which really helps with using it one-handed.

I upgraded yesterday and went to my local phone store to get the iPhone 6 in silver.

As soon as I got in there I saw the 6 plus and was taken aback at how nice it was. Obviously, they're both lovely phones but the Plus was no where near as big as I thought it was going to be.

Long story short I left with a 6 Plus but have 14 days to change my mind should I decide to.

And in all honesty, after 24 hours I think I'd rather have a 6.

I love the Plus, but only when I'm at home. Out and about it is just too big to be anything other than a little frustrating.
I plug my phone into my car every time I get in and out so it will sync with my music (prefer it over Bluetooth playback) and getting it in and out of my pocket to plug in is a nightmare.

Trying to hold with one hand is impossible for me personally, but I do have small hands.
It's great the they added the double tap of the home button to make reach ability better, but I don't want to have to do that everytime.

I decided to give the plus a go as I knew I had the 14 day window to try it out, and as I was intrigued by it in the store I didn't want to be left wondering so decided to take the plunge.

I like it, but the plus iside definitely not for me.

Cannot praise the camera and battery enough though.

But what about all the people who say you will get used to the size in no time at all. They certainly know you better than you do yourself. They can't be wrong

Ha everyone is entitled to their opinion.

But in all seriousness, I don't feel like I need to get used to the size. The size is what it is, and it has so many fantastic draws as it is. Screen, battery, the camera is great (not saying the 6's isn't, but I'd definitely love the OIS in the 6 too), but it's just impractical for me.

I didn't know if it would be or not when I was in the store, there's only so many tests you can do in like 20 mins ha, which is why I'm glad I've got 14 days.

But I know already. It isn't practical for the way I use my phone, how I carry it round with me etc. I'll be more than happy with my 6 I'm sure!

Personally, I gave myself close to 2 months to get used to the 6 Plus and even after all that time, I just couldn't. Heck, I even needed 2 hands to do the slide to answer calls because my fingers are so short and stubby. That among other things made me switch to the 6.

Yeah I hear you. Like I'm typing from the Plus now, and I love it. It's just carting the bloody thing around. Plus it is a little uncomfortable to hold for me with smaller hands.

I love that Apple gave us a choice of sizes with the 6 though. I just wish they were exactly the same, spec wise!

Same I had a plus for 2 months, I am 6.3 guy and found it too big for pocket and vehicle use, good for home and office use though, but then I have a iPad air 2 for that.

The 6 Plus for me. The form factor is exactly what I wanted and the battery life is great. The screen is a bit nicer spec wise (however I haven't seen a difference in real world usage). You might want to take my opinion with a pinch of salt however because I always envied the screen size of the Galaxy Note however felt too loyal to Apple (and too proud) to jump ship. I was so happy when they announced a 5.5" device :)

Has the OP considered the iPhone 5 or 5S? At least with one of those, he won't have to worry about lag or apps crashing (assuming he doesn't put 8 on it).

thanks.
The plus has much better battery life and a camera with better low-light performance.

Just curious how they determined the iPhone 6 Plus has a more color accurate screen than the 6. According to AnandTech the 6 has a superior quality screen in terms of color accuracy, whites/blacks, and brightness and they have very thorough data to back it up.

Well I finally grabbed a 6plus.
Phone is huge coming from my 6 at first ,but I can say I'm used to it already. Got it last night at about 7pm.

6 looks like a toy to me now. Just grabbed my mothers 5s geez is that thing real lol

No regrets on the phone and glad I jumped back to verizon already both my gyms full strength and my parents full strength which they live in the sticks lol

Added note: The plus screen is big enough that I find myself using it mostly in portrait mode rather than landscape, even with Safari. Typing is better too, as the landscape keyboard, is, for lack of a better word, "weird."

I always thought it was me that found the landscape keyboard strange, I really dislike it and make so many errors, it get's used in portrait mode always.
