The funny part is for years everyone kept saying specs don't matter for iphone but since the announcement that's all everyone wants to argue about. Strange part is it's iphone 6 vs iphone 6+ compared to iphone vs whoever

will there be a place where all the people saying 1GB of Ram can beat the people over the head of the 2GB people with a stick of ram when it is announced? or vice versa if it does indeed have 2?
AMOLED is great for video content in dark surroundings. For all other purposes on mobile devices, LCD is faaaar more practical. Had a Tab 7.7" SAMOLED+ pre iPad Mini days, gorgeous for video, middling for text, absolutely terrible in vaguely bright light. Same applies to the Note 1 I had (although that wasn't +).
Another fine example is the Vita - I could only ever use my OG Vita indoors. The LCD version, which is admittedly a little washed out in comparison, can actually be used while travelling outside/not in direct sunlight.
As for 2gb ram, I'd love it to be so, but I fear it won't be and I've seen no factual evidence suggesting it is. All the "evidence" points to 1gb sadly.

Not necessarily, no. The iPad with retina was a special case. They usually downplay specs. So maybe the have A6X in there with 2GB of RAM. That would be funny to see this forum explode...
Pretty phat as far as I'm concerned. As I figured, that term went straight over my head... mostly because back in 2011-12 I didn't give a hoot about owning a tablet whatsoever so I didn't pay them any attention.

Exactly, if the iPad Air and previous generations handled just fine with 1gb RAM why people expect the new iPhones to drop with 2gb ram

It's not the phone I'm getting so it makes little difference to me. I chose what I wanted without restrictions so in a word, no.
