AMOLED is great for video content in dark surroundings. For all other purposes on mobile devices, LCD is faaaar more practical. Had a Tab 7.7" SAMOLED+ pre iPad Mini days, gorgeous for video, middling for text, absolutely terrible in vaguely bright light. Same applies to the Note 1 I had (although that wasn't +).
Another fine example is the Vita - I could only ever use my OG Vita indoors. The LCD version, which is admittedly a little washed out in comparison, can actually be used while travelling outside/not in direct sunlight.
As for 2gb ram, I'd love it to be so, but I fear it won't be and I've seen no factual evidence suggesting it is. All the "evidence" points to 1gb sadly.
