6+ 2gb ram Macworld UK says so

Looks like a screenshot of a 6 to me! Are all 6 users jelly of those of us who pre-ordered the plus?? Can't wait for my 6+ to get here on Friday :apple:

Um....I preordered a six plus bud.

How do you determine this is a six? You can't, plain and simple. It's a screenshot. Phone arena is typically rather credible.

Anyway....doesn't matter to me either way really, the plus will run great. Wouldn't surprise me if apple says the 2gb of ram for the next iPad Air.

No, people are not jealous of you...it's a phone. I repeat...a phone.

This hits the nail on the head. It's like the Macbook Airs with 4GB RAM, you wouldn't get that level of performance out of a 4GB Windows laptop.

I can't speak for others experiences but the multiple tab issue is only present for me when using Safari, if I use Chrome on my Air or 5s the issue is non existent, to me it's clearly a software issue rather than a lack of memory.

my air reloads with chrome

Is this actually true? I thought issues regarding AMOLED saturation were solved a while ago, no? And I thought Samsung's display was considered one of—if not the—best.

Makes me wonder why Apple has never considered AMOLED displays for their iPhones. AMOLED is much more battery efficient.

Samsungs AMOLED screen is considered the best display. The Galaxy Tab 10.1 and the Note 4 have better displays their previous models. However the iPhone's LCD screen is better then the current LG G3's LCD screen.

"Early benchmarking using the Geekbench application suggests that the processor is dual core, and has a frequency of 1.4 GHz. It's paired with 2GB RAM. The iPhone 6 Plus is consummately slick and zippy in use"

Sounds like the real deal.

Dang.. maybe I should get a 6+

That could potentially be the deal breaker for the 6.

i hope it has 2gb ram , i plan on replacing my tablet and current phone with just this one.

makes life much easier and less products to warranty , take care of etc.

I must admit there's no way to tell if that is a 6 or 6 Plus. Also, PhoneArena originally had it listed at 2GB so I'm not sure on credibility now since they've gone back and forth.

I'm trying to look at how spread the icons are on the top to determine how large the phone is...no luck.

I have never seen one that doesn't reload tabs in Safari and Chrome. It happens on every one in the Apple stores in my area. It is all over the internet.

It will do it with 2-3 tabs open.

Yes, but you have no need to use more then one tab or app at a time. Why? because everyone who does not use their product like me is wrong. Why would you stop filling about a form half way to watch some utube videos or play games. Do one thing at a time like me and you will not have a problem.

I always love this complaint...... I have 20 screens open and it takes forever to load..... Hmmmm I know people expect to be able to have 100 screens open running content and not have any ram issues but maybe your expectations are a bit high?

If it was 100 or even 20, that would be more understandable. But I have it happen with about 4 or 5 screens opens, something I would not expect.

I sometimes have it happen on the tab I'm actually using. I can be reading a long article and gradually scrolling down the page when it will inexplicably reload and take me back to the start. So all this talk of being unreasonable and wanting 100 tabs open is guff. Pages reload randomly and it can happen whatever you're doing, whether minimal or intensive.

Very true.

Very hard to tell, I mean you could shrink and enlarge the screenshot...so no telling.

I've had it happen with as few as 2 or 3 tabs open (Retina iPad Mini).

So it looks like a 6 based on the spacing between the clock and battery.

I'm not entirely sure (tried measuring it multiple ways) but the distance between the clock and battery is larger on the 6 Plus than the screenshot.

But I have no idea if the screenshot has been resized.

New mode called Display Zoom. It is 6 plus.

I will be very interested to see the new Note 4 screen. The only two AMOLED screens I've owned (Note 3 and Moto X) have been disappointing to me. The Moto X has almost the same PPI as my iPad Mini Retina, and the Note 3 has higher PPI. What I can't explain though is both of these AMOLED screens look softer to my eyes than my iPad Mini Retina. Whites on both screens also look more grayish to me, which I tend to notice more than the improved contrast ratio just because I do more things on my phone with white screens (email, web, etc) than I do with deep blacks.

Edit: I currently own the LG G3 (wife still has her Note 3) and I think the LG G3 screen is much better than Note 3 and Moto X to my eyes too. Maybe I'm just an LCD guy.

I think the phone ought to have 2GB RAM to run smoother but that it has only 1GB. Don't forget planned obsolescence. This way they can put 2GB in the iPhone 6S !

I am sure that Apple does reserve some features for the 'S' models with each new iPhone redesign launch, but RAM isn't something that they market or even speak about during their keynotes (they don't even list memory with the iPhone's official specs). So, I don't think they are holding out on 2GB for the next model as a selling point. If the 6+ only has 1GB of RAM, it's due to other reasons.

If the 6+ runs hot and isn't as smooth as the 6 due to the low RAM (or inadequate power), they'll give the 6S+ 2GB of RAM and more power to quietly address those issues (if they are true). This is what they did with the iPad 4 from the iPad 3 (some deny this, but I owned both, and the iPad 4 is what the 3 should have been - faster, smoother, ran cooler, etc.).

I hope this is not the case with the 6+ vs 6S+, but it's all speculation now since no one reputable has the phone in their hands to do a proper review and really stress it hard. Holding it for 2 minutes in a press junket isn't enough to draw any kind of conclusions other than how it looks and feels and most videos show the 6+ running just as smoothly (visually) as the 6.
