I charge mine nightly.

1) Bluetooth off (until I buy BT earbuds)
2) Wifi/location services always on
3) Auto-brightness

Yesterday I unplugged it at 7am and plugged it back in at 9:30pm -- 88% battery left. (I didn't use it very heavily, but it did get use throughout the day).

Today's my big "workday" test. Unplugged at 5:30am, took it for a run (with music), and have it at work with no charger (and wifi is on, but no wifi access at work). During the day it goes with me to meetings and I listen to music on it while coding. I'll post an update tonight when I get home.

On my first cycle i let it die and charged it all the way up. Im still on that charge. Some say draining helps, some say it doesn't. In 2 months will i be this keen on letting it drain? Absolutely not.

Thank you. What are you doing to charge? Like let it drain down to 10% then charge again for everyday charge. I know we suppose to drain down to 0% once a month or so

6 Plus battery life: excellent

Not bad for day one

I'm getting between 10 and 12 hours of active time out of my battery so far. When I get down to single digits on this charge I'll post a grab.

Since I've only charged once I let it die then let it charge to 100%. I will continue to do this for a couple weeks most likely. There will be a point where I stop caring though haha #

Do you guys think this is good battery life considering that I've just been playing heavy intensive games? I stopped a while ago but I'm still noticing my percentage drop quickly.

I'm worried that it's not normal.

Looks good to me! On track for 10 hours of heavy use on that charge.

Saturday I was off the charger for 19 hours with about 8-9 hours of use and I still had 30%. This thing is outstanding.

Yep. Off the charger for 8 hours with little usage sitting at 93%. With about the same usage I would be at about 80% on the 5s.

Does this seem average to you guys? I mostly read and txt (no games or anything intensive).

I got to say, I'm pretty impressed with the battery life with my 6 Plus. Fully charged it up after getting the phone on Friday. Unplugged at 10 pm on Friday, and just now phone turned off on it's own. Of course about 2-3 hours are from listening to music.

You were right. It's currently at 2% batter with 12 hours and 30 mins of usage! I'm so pleasantly surprised that the battery still lasted this long after I played graphics intensive games until it was 50%

Wow this phone is amazing! :D

New iPhones always have great battery life.

Give it a few months.

I can find you threads right in Macrumors from people last year saying the same thing about their 5s.

I've had every iPhone iteration. This is the first since the original iPhone that gets through an entire day.

Trying to run my new iPhone 6 Plus battery down to 1% so I can charge it all the way up for the first time. 12 hours in under heavy use, and I'm still at 16%. That's impressive, especially given the gazillions of notifications I get.

Is this really necessary? I always wonder. I certainly didn't do it.

I received my 6+ at around 1:30pm PST today. As soon as I opened it up I started using it non stop. Adding music, apps, browsing, texting, lots and lots of notifications, youtube videos, settings changes, asphalt 8, leos fortune, facebook, twitter, instagram, vine, imgur apps, mail, a couple of phone calls and I barely put it to charge about an hour ago (9:50pm PST) since I let it die completely. Also, did I mention it came with a 75% charged battery?
Yeah
Its amazing.

hi peeps. just out of curiousity, for those that are having amazing battery life and are willing, would you mind running through some safari browsing battery tests and posting your results here please -> https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1787628/

i'm still befuddled as to how some of you are getting upwards of more than 10+ hours when the best i've managed to get is 8 hours+ with no mobile data (3G/LTE) on ever. would rather not greedily go in for a swap when everyone is still struggling to get a hold on one.

The battery is a monster. Took phone off charge at 6.15am. 4 hours of Bluetooth audio streaming in car, 2.5 hours of calls via BT headset. Browsing, messaging, FB throughout the day on both wifi and cellular. Get home at 7pm and still 48%

Testing out running mine down all the way. Took it off the charger when I left work yesterday. So far:

Not that intensive usage, mostly texting. Some browsing and social media. Idk, I feel like it's draining a little too fast.

No games at all.

I just let my phone drain until it powered off and I got
Usage: 14hrs of heavy usage
Standby: 23hrs 58min
I am now charging the phone for the 3rd time since Friday morning.
I am also seeing how long it takes to fully charge with the iPad charger from 0%.

I'm very pleased with mine too

It varied for the first couple of charges but now i'm at

66%
6hrs 16mins usage
1 day 11 hours standby

The 5s would be down to about 30% or less on that usage.

In contrast i used the camera for over an hour the other day + video and i achieved about 1hr 40min usage at 66%.

So i guess it depends on the use (as always)
