Ummmm, no they don't. But keep repeating that to yourself. After a little while you'll actually start believing it. It will help you deal with the shame of having the second best iPhone. .
Walt Mossberg, The Verge, Endgadget, Gruber, NY Times, and WSJ (to name a few) all do.
But keep ignoring them if it helps you deal with the shame of using a bent brick for a phone.
I have nothing to be jealous of i sold my plus for big profit and grabbed a free 6 through verizon, you're the who's defensive.

Link me to Walt Mossberg's review of the iPhone 6 where he supposedly ran this benchmark that says it's slower than the 6.

I was one of the foolish ones that was in line from 2:30am until 8:00am on launch day at Verizon. I was number three in line and I specifically wanted a gold 6+ 64g. The guy behind me somehow ended up getting it, so I had to settle for a 6 with 128g. I sure wish I could just trade with one of you on here that doesn't like theirs, because I'm sure having a hard time finding one, and my 14 day period is slowly dwindling.

I'm sure you are aware of Walt's preference for the 6 (and most others who review technology for a living) though he did not get into spec nuance as those are generally not noticeable in real world use.
What is noticeable is video and animation and that is where the plus falls flat on its bent face. From Arstechnica:
"We didn’t see any visible blurriness as a result of this scaling, though some UI animations and transitions seemed to be a little choppier than they are on the iPhone 6 or our iPhone 5S"

Every reviewer I listed stated his or her preference for the 6 and several of those sites ranked the 6 higher (90 vs 87, 9.0 vs. 8.7, etc.). Then you mentioned speeds which is a narrow reference to geek bench scores driven by a higher clock speed due to the need to scale display. Which, as I point out from the Anand quote, was poorly executed.
You have choppy, zoomed, incompatible apps. But please hold your breath for when devs will produce apps for a narrow market device.

I don't quite understand why you would fault him for including a reference to Walt Mossberg saying "The iPhone 6 is the best smartphone on the market." What is misleading or unclear about that statement?
FWIW I own both the 6 and plus. Both great phones, but why the heck you trying to bash the 6 when it has the same hardware, same OS, but smaller screen? I don't understand where you are trying to go with that.

Yet I myself confused as to what is being compared.
Is it GPU benchmark scores? CPU scores? Critic reviews?
I really enjoy my iPhone 6 Plus, fits in my pockets, having lots of fun on it!
Guys, both the 6 and the 6+ are GREAT phones. They just aren't aimed at the same category. No need to fuss and get in huge arguments. Important thing is that we are all enjoying our phones!
Ps: I do agree, however, that iOs 8 isn't at its best on the 5.5" screen! I'm sure it will come though. My girlfriend has the 6 and it runs a lot smoother on it!
