Why wouldn't people "admit" it??? Anyone who gets a 6+ only to realize it's too big could simply return it, right?

Myself, I've been carrying around an iPhone and often an iPad Mini Retina. I'm hoping the 6+ will bridge the gap. And if not, I'll "admit" it and just return it for a iPhone 6.

A lot of people become emotionally invested in their decisions so they won't admit they were wrong. This is human nature, case in point is this thread. People are aggressively defending their choices as if there is a right or wrong answer.

I'm still using a 4S because I prefer the size. And will eventually get the 6 merely because it's smaller.

Yet some post here would have me defending my manhood. But the reason I want the 6 is because when I had a note 3 it was too cumbersome when I was backpacking, hunting, fishing, safely storing when playing sports, working out etc etc.

Oh great now I'm defending my decision!! Lol

I'm loving my plus at the moment. No regrets. At times I do get that feeling of awkwardness with one handed use, but I bought it expecting to adjust my habit using this phone, now it's second nature. The extra screen estate has been amazing especially for browsing the Web.

I think you're spot on. The more I've paid attention, the more I've realized I use my 5 with one hand, more often that I had thought. However, when my 6+ arrives, I'm sure I'll just get used to using it 2-handed. Just as we will reach for the power button at the top and eventually get used to reaching for it at the top right of the 6.

Am I the only one who takes calls on my phone with headphones 99.9% of the time? I almost never put a smartphone to my ear.

Just picked up my VZW 6+ 64 from UPS.

Well yes my first impression is it's slightly too big for comfort.

HOWEVER I somewhat prefer the size. Let me explain... I found myself end up using both hands in many cases with my 5. Not that I don't miss the convenience of operating it single-handed but it's actually not hard for me to adopt to 6+ bigger size.

I don't regret it.

Oh and the 6+ in my hand.

The Plus is massive, though the screen is great.

I'm looking forward to getting mine, but the 6 is a great size. The 6+ will mean I'm able to do a lot more work on the go though, especially with the bigger battery.

This is the 6+ in my hand.

People I didn't get mine today and I wish I had got my big plus, just remember you have to get use to anything...

I think the "admit" part is because sooooo many people claimed for a very long time that the 5.5" didn't exist because it would make you look stupid using, (their I pad comparisons) , yet go out and buy one because it Did exist, and a lot of people thought it was the "flagship" model.

So all of a sudden, they had to have one. Reality sets in and the - had to have "flagship" is too big.

Wait until people start dropping these things because they do not handle like a 4" phone.

The lone reason why I decided against the i6+ is that I can't fathom bringing something that big to the gym. Seems like it would constantly get in the way

I haven't held the iPhone 6+, but a couple of weeks ago I used my brother's LG G3 for a few hours (which is also a 5.5 inch screen), and it was too big for me to use comfortably with one hand. The iPhone 6+ is also wider than the LG G3, so I figured it definitely wouldn't be a good sized phone for me.

With the iPhone 6 I was worried it would seem to small, but after finally having it delivered and holding it, I think it is the perfect size. I can comfortably reach the other side of the phone when typing, and only need 1 hand to do it. When I tried to type with 1 hand on a 5.5 inch screen I always felt like I was going to drop it, and I have pretty long fingers for a woman.

Anyway, that's just my opinion. Don't get your panties in a bunch.

I see you're hoping for the worst lol

I switched my 6 to a 6+ after playing with it in the store this morning. I have large hands and can type one-handed fairly easily (and two handed portrait typing FLIES now that the touch targets on the keyboard are comfortable)...it will definitely be an adjustment, but I figure I can give myself the week or two and see how things go. The camera is incredible, even coming from the iPhone 5S. After 45 minutes of using the 6+, I went back to my 5S, which seems teeny tiny.

It does leave a slight line in my jeans when it's in the pocket but definitely not uncomfortable or that apparent either, and I'm wearing a well-fitted slim legged pair.

The gym will be my biggest concern, but I already have both an armband and a flip belt on the way to try out, and while I'm on the treadmill, it can always sit on the ledge anyway. So far, so good! I wish the restore would speed up.

The software side definitely needs some work to make it more one-handedly friendly, such as the send button when using Quick Reply.

I'm about 5'5'' and my hands would only reach about one octave plus one key (for those musical fellas), I'm curious with others who have similar stats think about the iPhone 6+. It looks fantastic for reading comics, watching shows, and playing games but I don't want to get it if it makes it difficult to actually do those tasks.

Its easy if you use both hands. Unless you want to slide the phone up or down your one hand, which may increase risk of it dropping or slipping out.

I finally got to hold on today and I decided to go with the iPhone 6 instead, a little too big for me but still a wonderful phone.

That and I don't wanna wait 2 months for a phone.

Canceled my order so someone just got bumped up, you're welcome.

Sounds like how I use to use my old HTC, hopefully the reachablility function would help a lot.

I don't know which Iphone you had beforehand and for how long or if you even had one. Why didn't you get the Note 3?

I've had the 3G (AT&T) from Sep 2008 to Sep 2010, then got the IP4 (AT&T) from 2010 to Sep 2012. Then switched to Verizon in Sep 2012 and got the iP5 which I had until today when I got my iP6+. Going from the iP5 to the iP6+ is a HUGE difference. So far I like it. I am starting to wonder if I will actually use my rMini anymore.

As for why I didn't switch to the Note 3, because I knew the Note 4 and new iPhones would be coming out and wanted to see what would be released before deciding which route to go. Plus I am heavily invested in the Apple ecosystem so I really didn't want to give up Airplay, iCloud, etc... All my iOS devices connect and interact with each other extremely well.

I think the 6+ is the better phone overall feature-wise. But I'll stick with my iphone 5. I want to get the iphone 6, but it seems like apple didn't include some of the 6+ features just to differentiate the 2 and make it seem they can justify the price difference as a result.

I have a feeling they'll include that on the iphone 6S, then again they might up the features on the iphone 6S+. So it seems like the iphone 6 is the low end phone, similar to the 5C

Except the 5C was year old tech and started at $99. The 6 is the same flagship $200 (to start on contract) phone that gets redesigned and released every two years. It's the iphone. This is like saying the GS5 and GN4 are the low end vs high end phones when they're just two different phones by the same manufacturer, getting at two different markets.

The pricing game Apple plays where they hold back certain features for different price points isn't ever going to go away though. Ask them why they're still putting out a 16gb iphone, or why the entry level retina macbook pros don't have dedicated graphics cards anymore, etc. They don't want to put the most desirable features in every model or they won't sell as many of the higher price tiers.

Thanks for pointing that out, humor impaired. Obviously until you cleared things up there was real danger of confusion between the iPhone 6+ and a gallon of milk.

Sort of like the type of confusion that ensued when you were born and they couldn't locate your tiny wiener? Mass confusion.

The Plus actually fills a really nice niche between iPhone and iPad mini. Some of us don't like paying an extra $20/mo to get service on an iPad and are thrilled to have one device do it all. My iPad can stay home now and save me some money.

I paid 100 less for my phone than you, if it's a cost thing... I don't have cellular on my iPad, way more cost effective to just tether phone connection since I'm on a VZW share everything plan and get it included with that plan... it really doesn't cost me more money.
