Sure. Easily. I'm doing it as I type this. The P L and M are no problem.

I can also reach the edge keys, but it isn't the most comfortable thing. I'll tell you one thing that I noticed instantly - it's MUCH easier for me to type as the keys are bigger and my accuracy is significantly better.

I'm liking the 6+ quite a bit, and I'm even capable of one-hand texting with ease, which surprised me. I still feel like at times it feels a little bit too large, though.

I'm planning on trying it out all week and returning it for a 6 next weekend if I decide to do so... 50/50 right now.

Please don't try blaming your inability to grasp the English language on me.

My point was quite clear. You just have a learning disability.

The Moto X compares nicely to the 4.7" model and fits much better in the hand.

Almost every other 5.5" phone on the market is more compact than the Plus, especially the G3. Apple could have done much more in the ergonomics department. It's not even up for debate.

I agree. It’s as if Apple said “If the people want a bigger iPhone we’re going to give them a bigger iPhone!” Apple threw ergonomics out the window. They made the 6 plus too tall with big bezels and too skinny making it slippery to hold. While I don’t care for the LG G3 they actually focused big time on ergonomics and it shows. And people can hate Samsung all day long but from the very beginning they never intended the Note series to be just a huge Galaxy S.

And this is the reason why Apple made the mistake of releasing 2 very different models at the same time. How can you pre-order something without seeing and holding it first? These phones are just like shoes in terms of fit and comfort. Just don’t play the return game at Best Buy because they will flag you for multiple return/exchanges.

I disagree. The Note is way to fat! Same with the other phones in those ranges. That is why I hated them. Its like samsung got the tablet and the phablet dimensions mixed up. The top and bottom bezels are non issues for me.

The 5 is the largest I can really use one handed so for me, having to use two hands even with the 6, made the decision to get the 6+ a no brainer. Most of my calls are on speaker or in the car and most use for is texts and internet so the screen is perfect.

Exactly my thinking! The 6 was too big so why not get the Plus? Love the Plus, but I'm keeping my 5s for those (hopefully rare) occasions a smaller phone is preferred.

The 6+ is a phablet, it not a bloody one handed device!!!!!!!! What is it with Apple fans and using stuff one handed. I use my Nexus 5 two handed most of the time and it only has a 5" screen, im fine with using two hands, With that said the 6+ is an awful design, the huge bezels make it stupidly tall and Apples obsession to make everything thin means it slippery to hold. The LG G3 really puts both the new iPhones to shame when it comes to design.

I agree that the plus is too big for comfortable daily use.

I played with both at the Apple store and I am going to keep my iPhone 6.

I found that it still lets you see a lot more than the 5/5S. Sure, the 6+ lets you see a tiny bit more but its not as significant of a jump.

With the 6+ I found myself sliding the phone up and down in my hand to reach things (and using reachability every 2 secs would get annoying) and it made my hand tired and achey quickly. It is clearly NOT a phone thats usable with one hand for even basic stuff.

With the 6, its a bit of getting used to I think but it strikes a good compromise between one handed use and more real estate.

I am now on the 128GB Space Grey iPhone 6 and originally I was going to give it to the wife and get a + when it became available but now I will keep it and get one more for her if she wants.

Maybe the iPhone 7 in 2 years will trim the bezels down and make it better since I think the size of the + is just barely too big. Honestly, if they made a 5.1" or so it would've been perfect I think, or trimmed them bezels down.

I wish I could have had the +'s battery durability in the 6 but you cant win them all and thats okay because the iPhone 5 battery I had up to this point has been good enough.

I am canceling my 6+ preorder for mid-October and I am happy with my decision. :)

Guys, the fact is you just can not realistically use the 6 Plus one-handed. Once you accept that fact and move on to treating it as the 2-handed "iPad Nano" device that it is, you'll be fine. Otherwise, return it for a 6.

For me, the inability to use it one-handed was a deal breaker. Living in Tokyo, I commute by train - I spend about two and a half hours a day on the train - and they're usually crowded. If I manage to grab a seat, my rMini or MBA is better than the Plus in terms of productivity, but since I'm usually standing, I got a 6. I need to be be able to use the phone one-handed!

My little brother is small in stature, but he apparently loves the 6+. I don't know man... I went with a regular 6 cause I think it's a good size. I think if they shrink the bezel down a ton for the iPhone 7 I could consider a 5.5". I would just be paranoid anytime I wear athletic shorts or something it could be in danger of falling out of my pockets.

So my pre-orders for the 6 and 6 Plus 64GB both arrived today.. and I am glad I bought both.

I demo'd a Galaxy Note 3 and thought I would be okay with the 6 Plus, but I find it's just too heavy and too large to be able to use at the same speed and comfort that I can use my 5 at.

With the 6, I can reach the edges of the screen fine, and it's not noticeably heavier than my 5. With the 6 Plus, it's considerably heavier, and impossible to reach all buttons without overstretching or using another hand - to the point where after 10 minutes of use I found it uncomfortable and sore.

I'm going to be putting my 6 Plus on eBay I think. I really LOVE the screen and camera, and the battery life enhancements are what encouraged me to buy the 6 Plus in the first place, but I don't think I can deal with this!

Anybody else care to share their opinion?

Yup. Agreed 100%.

Mines going back too. Shame cos i love it. But its simply too impractical. Too much bezel.

6 Plus - It's TOO BIG!

I preordered the plus last Friday and had a 9/19 ship date, but Apple cancelled it due to a communication misfire with AT&T.

I went to the AT&T store at 2 today just to see what they had and was able to mess with both display models. Man, Apple did me a favor because I would have returned the plus. It's gorgeous but a little too much phone for me.

I walked out in 20 minutes with a space grey 6 and I love it! I would have liked the extra iPad-like functionality but I don't think I would have liked to sacrifice easy one handed use, which I still have with the 6.

I am constantly toggling between my IP5s and my mini. I love the mini and used to take it along in my purse but it got to be too much. I'm hoping the 6+ will allow me to just have one well-loved device to keep up with...and hoping the Apple watch will be a perfect sidekick to the larger phone.

That is why I also got the plus if I need to use 2 hands why not just get the plus.

Gutted i had to sell mine on eBay today

Simply cant stretch my thumb across the screen half centimetre too short (that's what she said) :D
