Excellent find!

Interestingly, I was at a Verizon store an hour ago, and no joke there was the defender, and for less than I paid with shipping at otter box's site

just finishing taking the screen out now.

Excellent! What colors did they have?

Also, you can find them "cheaper" in stores, but if you use coupon codes online (I use "InvisibleHand" on my Chrome browser) they work out to the same cost as you would find them for in a retail shop.

Take pics!! Would love to hear your first impressions. :D

I really liked it prior to returning it originally. I returned it because I felt it was too costly. However, after realizing the difference in quality between the OB and my other cases, I was thrilled when they had it there.

They only had black.

6 Plus Otterbox Defender | Availability

Verizon above Union Square in NYC had a few in all black. $59.99

Bought and returned.

The screen protector is a good 1-2mm off the iPhone screen. Super annoying trying to type. Makes a tapping sound when you do. Also, the home button is weird. When you press down its hard to tell whether you've pushed it enough. Back to the Tech21 tactical for now.

All colors of shells and slips which I've previously announced available are back in stock, for how long who knows?! Still waiting on the final two slips and two shells.

Just take it out and put on glass. Works much better and is far more protective.

This is what I usually do but my 5 had so much dust get in since it wasn't sealed anymore. Have you had any issues with lots of dust getting in? This is my only reason I'm still holding off on pulling the trigger for the defender

Dust isn't the end of the world. I take my phone case off every other month or so and clean the phone up. These devices are meant to live case free, dust doesn't hurt.

The Notterbox Defender, with Tempered Glass screen protector, I got for my girlfriends 6 Plus.

I have had no issues at all. Either way, you can always take the case off if needed

I'm actually really liking this case. usually i go through tons of cases (and I'm sure I still will with this phone) but I usually get tired of the defenders bulk but this time I like it. the phone was already huge so making it huger isn't that big of a deal. still wish I could rock it naked without worrying but whatever :p

Yeah, of all the Defenders I've owned this is honestly the least bulky of them all. Yet, I still feel as though it's UBER protected inside of it. Love the case!!!

I'm waiting for my defenders to arrive and I know people say there is a gap between the screen and the otter screen protector. What if you installed say a Zagg tempered or even an HDX and then put the defender with it's screen protector over that? would the thickness of the Zagg etc fill the gap ???

This exact thing is detailed in previous posts with pictures and suggestions.

It works perfectly.

I have the zagg glass with defender and the fit is super tight (the bottom tab does not close completely). I will have to check the phone in a few days to see if the very tight fit is damaging my phone in any way.

Thanks good to know! I have the Zagg glass and the HCX on order along with two Otterbox Defenders so I may try the HCX if it's a little thinner than the glass. Apparently this gap between the screen protector and screen is very thin if a Zagg glass protector makes it so tight you can't close the case

Even with the glass protector, there is a gap. I think it's just poor fit on otterbox's behalf.

hmm so it's so tight you can't even close the case but theres still a gap? I don't even see how that can be ???

I guess the Zagg extends down beside the home button so that would hold the case from closing and then the screen protector is till being help up over the top of it

I might try the HCX and I can trim off the area by the home button and anything that extends above or below the otter case so it will close down fully over the phone

I'm so pissed otter f'ed this up on the iphone 6 that really needs the protection
