Nope. Just making sure the record is straight.

You're doing a good job of providing facts in the face of so much hype and misinformation. I'm sick of these threads and the scaremongering so I'm really trying to limit how much I participate. Eventually people will get fed up and move on while the rest of us continue enjoying our iPhones.

Not worried about my 6 plus bending the reason being the day after it arrived I went to the AT&T store and purchased the Incipio Highland wallet style case which is very rigid and protects my phone.

Wow! people needs to move on with their lives. Just enjoy the phone until next year model comes out

I'm not an owner yet, but I think the bending issue is on my mind. If I do take the plunge, I may be a bit more careful with it, then my current 5c.

I'm so concerned about bending that I am looking for the best holster set. I'm worried about putting it in my pocket.

More worrysome is how the glass shatters easily on first drop and simply how fragile the actual built feels. 99% sure I'm holding on to my 5 till 6s or maybe just plunge into 6+ albeit hesitant

percentage wise is insignificant....

the sad guy that runs the www.oneofthenine.com and scours daily the internet and social media for all types of bent phones including demo phones at Apple Stores has struggled to get 45 cases so far.

in the bigger picture thats 0,00045% of sold phones.

don't think Apple would even consider it a problem unless you had 10% of sold phones with bend problems....

thats a whooping 1M phones with bend problems....

I know in these closed environments like this forum it might appear that there's loads of cases of bent phones if you get one thread per bent phone......but in reality it accounts to nothing!

Hey Mike,

I think 'scour' is a bit harsh as these things are often sent in bulk from concerned users and netizens.

I tried to explain before that your statistics are a little silly but your 'closed environment' quote was quite accurate in some regards.

Most normal people would not even consider posting online about their phone problems. Probably the high 90%s of owners in fact, they contact the carrier or the store. In this 'closed environment' of online tech nerdiness you make a rather big assumption that the 10 million people are coming through here or even more ridiculously through my little site.

To repost a similar set of stats I sent you before:

My site now has had approx 5200 individual visitors. Of those roughly a quarter access via iOS. Lets say that some of the computer visitors also own an iphone as well. So global iphone market share is 11%, that percentage of computer users is 7% of total users. So iOS owners approx stands at 32% for my visitors (very crudely). Therefore 1700 ish users.

Now let's look at iOS device stats. Approx 800 million sold so far. Cutting off those no longer in use or dead and maybe 60% left in use. 480 million. Then your continually used stat of 10 million 6 and 6+ makes up 2% of this total.

Therefore 2% of my iOS visitors is 34. So actually we are doing pretty damn good to have found 47 bent ones so far. Probably as people are posting about other people's issues a bit

As I explained to you before though Mike. These stats are wildly inaccurate and actually no one has the full picture yet (apart from in your mind). Let's wait and see if this turns out to be an issue that affects lots of people long term or if not.

ok, an easier summary of these tin foil hat conspiracy theorists then that think someone is trying to deliberately spread misinformation about iPhone 6 and 6+
