64GB iPhone 4 Prototype Leaked from FoxConn

Can't wait for a 128GB one...

I want a 128GB one! with thunderbolt for syncing all my songs and videos! :rolleyes: Well, it will come out eventually, right?
 
With all these leaks, I think Apple needs to enable passive DHD functionality tied to the GPS. As much as this makes for a good rumor, how do we know that some of these test units aren't making their way into the hands of Apple's competitors?

because of what i just read on cnn about the camera in the iPad2. I was all set to buy one then I found out its worse than the iphone AND the iPod Touch cameras. no point.. maybe 3rd version.

i bet the new camera in the 64gb iPhone4 is bad too.
 
egad what if Apple took out memory and charged extra for 2 years of mobileme?! Yes the cloud based iPhone!

(seriously i do see them pulling an AppleTV and maybe keeping 8 gigs)

I hope that this is the prototype to the iPhone 5 showing the 64GB.

Not because we finally get the option for 64GB storage but the fact that the iPhone does NOT have a bigger screen.

I want the big update to the iPhone to be the 6th generation to include the bigger screen.

Let iPhone 5 be the 3G to 3GS type update and have all the iPhone 4 users who are under the 2 year contract wait for the BIG update which would be the 6th generation iPhone.

New redesign, bigger screen, highly improved camera/sensor, 12 hrs battery life, thinner than the iPhone 4/iPhone 5 (obviously), removal of the home button or arranged as a side button to make room for the big screen.

It will be the BIG one.

Apple knows that many are happy with the iPhone 4 and will stick with the 2 year contract before buying another iPhone, thats why the big update is going to be for the 6th generation.

And thats what I hope for.

Yeah the whole point was with the iPhone 4 it was one of the few times they didn't double the capacity which didn't account for people's growing libraries or just general bloat and ESPECIALLY didn't allow for any space to take HD video since those of us with 32GB 3GSs already had them full to the max and had to then spend hours figuring out what we didn't think was "worthy" of carrying around with us in our pockets just in case we might take some HD video later that night.
 
So which analyst will be the first to claim the iPhone 5 will have 64GB of storage?

I don't think this is the new iPhone 5 because why would they have the 4.1 software on the device. It makes no sense. Wouldn't the new incoming iPhone have the newer software, like iOS 5? And assuming iOS 5 isn't complete, why would they have new iPhones with older software in China? Wouldn't they first work with the prototypes at the Apple campus first, and then have them mass produced in China?

In reference to it being an old prototype, that's probably all it is, if that. And it could just be someone sticking in a 64GB chip into an iPhone 4 just for the heck of it, and now putting it online to stir the rumor mill. Plus everyone is pretty much expecting a bump to 32/64GBs of flash memory.

Whatever it is, it looked like there were no breaks in the outer band/antenna near the top of the phone. Did the old iP4 prototype have this antenna design? If not, this could be something newer??

why on earth would you want better stuff to be delayed by a year? are u a masochist?!
 
Also the serial number appears to be 8800902DEX3

Don't the third through fifth digit indicate build date? Week 09 of 2010? That would put it as iP4 prototype?
 
Anyways instead of seeing the obvious which is the 64GB. Did anyone else see that the metal band does not have the black lines any more, its a solid metal band that wraps around the whole phone now.

Actually if you look at 54 seconds, you will see a break at the very top of the phone, just like in the AT&T model of the iPhone 4

Only because if they do introduce a bigger screen iPhone for the iPhone 5, that would be the talk of the show and that would also only have Apple work hard on making a larger screen iPhone while still having the Retina Display. Because of that they can't focus real hard on everything else.

As for an upgrade I want them to go all out. I don't think they will go all out on everything else if they are going to include a bigger screen on the iPhone 5.

The 6th generation iPhone will buy them more time to focus on a truly remarkable iPhone that focuses on not only a bigger screen but great thinness, design, power, & Battery life.

That is why. I guess I didn't explain myself throughly in my previous post on why I wanted this exactly.
 
And it shows carrier SMC Voda and at the same time says no-sim in the upper left....is this possible? Or does it just remember the last carrier?

Until wireless data plans are not cost prohibitive, this won't happen. $25/mo for 2 gb of data isn't nearly enough to take care of most people's music needs if they choose to stream their music via the cloud.

I understand what you're saying, but I think it's still a ways off.
 
Putting the serial number into Apple's warranty checker says not valid number, which I guess would be true for a prototype.

I was thinking of that place that sells stinky tofu with duck blood and a side of chicken feet (with claws of course). You know the place, it's between Family Mart and 7-11. Not many places like that in TW, is there?
 
After Apple skipping out on the 64GB model last year, the addition this year seems a given. I'm starting to grow tired of managing my storage space all of the time. I can hardly record any video without the thing throwing a fit about low disk space.

Part of my problem is that I'm an app hoarder/addict.

My primary concern going forward is that iPhone 5 will likely see 1080p video and an 8mp camera, further eating up disk space. I'd prefer 128GB, but I don't think that is possible.
