My 64Gb IPad Air 2 shows that the storage is full, but adding up all the apps and documents it only comes to 3Gb. I do not have photos, videos or music on it as I use it for work. I can find no way to identify the other 50Gb plus of data that is stored some where. I have also deleted all unused apps and done hard resets.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated before it gets a very hard reset.

Have you looked at Settings, Storage & cloud usage and then manage storage and it will tell you what apps are using the memory

Yes, this is where I have added all the apps up 3Gb. I haven't even used any cloud storage. Sadly the missing storage is still alluding me, but thank you for your reply.

Plug it into iTunes and screenshot the bar that breaks down the storage graphically.

Also, is it definitely 64GB and not 16GB?

Definitely 64Gb screen shot attached 55Gb showing as Documents & Data but I cant find it or delete it.
Could it have anything to do with Dropbox? which I did use but deleted when trying for more space.

Thanks for your interest. IPAD Storage.JPG

Blimey - thanks for the screenshot. Dropbox's files should have been deleted when you removed the app, anyway.

There are a few people on the Apple Support Communities with the same issues and it looks like a restore is the only way to go, unfortunately. :(

From what I can see, Documents and Data are responsible for taking up so much storage, but that info should appear on the settings menu on the iPad. This would tell you which apps are taking up so much space with their respective docs and data. Could you give us a print screen of your manage storage option on your iPad?

After a quick Google it seems there are a lot of people with this issue of the settings menu adding to a small amount, but iTunes showing 50GB+. Seems like a bug in iOS.

Looks like I may be stuck with a restore. Here is a pick of the storage on the iPad. The last few are very small. image.png

yeah, factory reset it then. It seems to be the only way to free up some space. Just do back up on iCloud and restore it from there.
