OK I have another one to talk about. Pure gear flexible glass.
http://www.amazon.com/PureGear-Pure...4222&sr=1-2&keywords=pure+gear+flexible+glass

Not a true glass, more of a plastic/ glass hybrid. The good part is no halo at all on my 6S.

No halo 10/10
Easy install 10/10
Glass feel 5/10
Oleophobic 3/10
Value at $16 8/10
Value at $39 2/10
Thinness 9/10

So there you have it. If you can stand the 2 negatives then at $16 it's a good choice for no halo.

Hello -

Kyasi is trumpeting their new $50 screen protector's compatibility with the 6s: http://kyasi.com/ However, closer inspection reveals they're also marketing it for use with non-"s" models. Thus far, it's seemingly received positive feedback on Amazon, including from at least two 6s users.

Is anyone here game to try it?

Best regards,

Brian

I was thinking about purchasing that, but considering the price, and the fact that I had an extra iMOS, I opted out.

I ordered an Anker glass guard on Amazon.de .
On the box it was branded iPhone 6s(not iPhone 6). It has no halos, fits perfectly.
I will keep it on my 6s, until the white cinder I ordered arrives.

But there is something wrong with this white Anker sp. the bezels suddenly looked bigger.
And now I know. The tiny black lines/borders around the screen are covered by the white painted glass of this sp and that is particularly visible on a white iPhone/sp.
It just looks a little weird/off.
Does anyone know if this very small black border around the screen is also covered by the white part of the sp on a white cinder or godosmith 3D ice max?

I can confirm that different versions of the 6s (NOT the Plus) have slightly different screens. I did have the 64GB Black/Space Grey version on T-Mobile that I bought on launch day. I tried about 8 different tempered glass protectors. Spigen, Maxboost, Pleson, Anker, etc. They all haloed. Some more severe than others.

Last weekend, I joined cell accounts with my fiancee on AT&T. I decided to go with the Gold/White 64GB version. I bought the newer Anker protector made for the 6s (Glassguard is the name, I think) and on the very first try- perfect fit w/ no halo.

So there you have it!

I use the get-z screen on my iPhone 6S. No halo, fits well, relatively inexpensive and free shipping. About the same as any others I've seen on this forum.

If you don't mind my asking, where did you get your Imos and how much did you spend? Are you satisfied with it? Do you use it with a case?

It was my impression that the Z doesn't cover the entire screen. Am I wrong?

Thanks,
Brian

One of my friend have bought a 3D protector for his 6S,it looks like great and have no halo effects, any idea about this?

so my Halo Back screen protectors came in last month while I was away, out of town for work. they look just like any other non edge-to-edge screen protector. the surface feels really smooth and is very easy to swipe your finger across. what's more is how functional this protector is due to the back button feature. the caveat to that is the back function has to be in the upper-left corner. otherwise, whatever function is up there is what the back button feature will do.

the Spigen tempered glass I took off was a beast in its own rite. that was pretty much on the phone since release.

Just wanted to let the group know I did try a "3D" screen protector a while back. I had a little trouble getting the bubbles out of the corners of the screen. I got a white one to go over my black 6S and I'll admit it did look good. I called it a storm trooper. Black on White etc. etc. Well I had it for all of about two hours when I set it down on the counter and apparently I set it on the corner of my keys. Well that was the end of it. It must have hit the glass right on the "3D" edge because it shattered. In my experience the 3D screens are weaker and don't protect as well. I still stand by my Get-Z screen protector. Edges are cut perfectly to fit my case, No bubbles and its way stronger than anything 3D that i've seen.

Which one? I've seen similar complaints about the Benks 3D, but protectors from Imos and Kyasi seem to be higher-end.

It's a Cinder. Apparently .2mm isn't thick enough for keys
I'm not at all surprised. You should see the feedback the Cinder is getting on Amazon--yikes! I'd never even consider one.

I'll definitely reconsider the Get-Z. Still, I'd love to have more information about it, as I've yet to see any product feedback beyond their site.

I decided I don't like the edge to edge Anker sp. the bezels are too big and the white borders cover a small part of the screen on the edges(right/left and upper and downside of the screen. If I put in keyboard mode(portrait) you can' t see the edges of the "q"(left) and "p"(right) box.
This is not because of a bad install. It is perfectly centered , but the Anker seems to make the visible screen smaller.
Is there someone else who has noticed this?
And is there anyone that can post a picture of a white iPhone with 3D white cinder/godosmith/Imos installed with the screen activated?

Hi, thanks!

I have installed a white cinder now and i am quite impressed.
Installation was not difficult, nice curved edges.
The bad: black contrast lines on the edges of the display of the white iPhone 6, remain hidden behind the screen protector.
7. I hate the cutout for the light sensor.

That's actually it.

But perhaps the Imos is better, so please post the pictures.

I have another question:

I just need to protect the screen against scratching or damage to the coating, not the area outside of the screen and really hate the thin horseshoe around the home button screen protectors.

Are there any thin transparent glass screen protectors just for the screen area? just like the separate slickwraps front protector just for the screen?

Finally got fed up of the halo, after 4 months. Went to Apple Store, showed them it. And they willing replaced the phone. New device, very minimal halo, almost no halo at all. You have to look for it. Now I can finally get a real screen protector and not these cheap ones. Cheap ones do not protect against oil and fingerprints at all.

Like everyone here, I purchased my share of good and bad screen protectors. I know that the only ones worth using are glass the film are simply useless bubbly and cheap!

I just broke mine ( from Zagg ) and looking to get a new one. I know I dont want edge to edge type since the lift up around the edge and are not compatible with most cases. My case is Apple noting fancy but I dont want the edge to be lifted.

The problem I had applying most screen guards was to align them correctly. I never got it right ;)) anyway I'm looking to get a replacement and came these two that actually come with the installation tray and are actual Gorilla glass.

Let me know if you have them and your thoughts on them... Thanks

I don't get it... is it poor quality control or is this just normal for glass SPs?

So, i'll be honest, i've always had plastic SPs in the past and have never had an issue. 1 plastic SP would last the entire life of my phone until i sold it for a new one.

However, when I upgraded to a 6S+, everyone told me to get a glass SP, and so I did. I went on Amazon and bought one, and it was amazing! I loved the way it felt and the clarity, compared to plastic, but here is the part that is bothering me, after trying several brands of SPs (edge-to-edge or regular), they all are chipping or peeling, regardless of how careful I am (no drops, kept in empty pockets)... what gives? why is it so hard to find an affordable glass SP that just "works" and lasts!?!

Do they make privacy galas screen protectors or just the film kind?

I can't believe it is this hard for there to not be a go-to SP that is glass that works for 90% of the folks.

Wow that's really nice of them. Nice job!

I replaced my Daswise with an Anker GlassGuard+.

The Daswise was lifting and dust started to go underneath so I had no choice but to get a new one.

The Daswise seems to have a better olephobic coating as water beads better. Also the black borders are sharper than the Anker. I liked how it's possible to use the hinge method to put it one.

The Anker seems to a bigger radius on the edges of the hole for the home button so it doesn't feel as sharp. the adhesive sticks to the screen better than the Daswise. I don't like how you can't use the hinge method with the Anker because the backing protecting the adhesive is much bigger than the screen protector. So I have no choice but to use the plastic home button alignment tool. The tool doesn't work good because it comes there is a lot of clearance so it's a crapshoot to get the hole centered with the home button. It took me many tries.

As for clarity they both seem the same.
