Posted on the other thread but maybe I thought I'd share my experience here too. My first glass was a cheapo one from eBay but since it wasn't edge to edge, so it annoyed me especially when trying to use the 3d touch multitask function. So i eventually bought the IceMax from AliExp and took two weeks to arrive. I guess you can say it was a pain to install compared to other screen protectors but in the end it all worked out. It does feel kind of vulnerable to breaking especially when peeling off the layer prior to applying, so I'd recommend to be extra careful there.
Had no edge issues like others have reported with other cases. But yeah, a perfect install for me.
Hope this helps someone.View attachment 606685 View attachment 606686

FYI - I had my Godosmith Ice Max on for little more than a month. There was no dust at all when I removed it. Just the usual accumulations around the home button and earpiece, but nothing on the sides.

Based on your good responses I ended up ordering an Ice Max from AliExpress for $21 ($24 - $3 coupon for ordering through the iPhone app). Really hope the it ends up working for my 6s and I can put this 'screen protector without halos' search to rest. Once it arrives I'll be diligent when I put it on and post pictures as well.

Good luck and be sure to let us know! Thanks.

Good luck. Remember the air bubbles. Don't give up. This thing is a pain to install but once installed it goes on nice. It's just really picky on cases.

So, after all the posts in this thread, we still cannot find a good glass screen protector for the iPhone 6s Plus?

Different users have very different experiences. For my smaller 6S, the Anker S/P worked perfectly while other users here did not have much luck...with the same exact product on the same phone. Same for the 6S+. Results vary greatly.

Sigh...

Got the Ice Max, aligned it ****ing perfectly (and I mean PERFECT)... only to see a bunch of halos on the sides and bottom right corner :(

I've tried reapplying the protector as well as massaging / applying pressure to the halos for long periods of time but I can tell you now they aren't going away.

For a replacement do you guys think I should contact Godosmith through their AliExpress store where I ordered it from? Or go straight to godosmith.com?

Aww sorry to hear that. I've tried replacements before but it wouldn't work still so I ended up with a refund.

For the glass screen protector, what is the recommended thickness? I have seen glass protectors of thickness: 0.15, 0.2, 0.3, 0.33, 0.4mm. To use with the Otterbox Defender (with or without the plastic screen protector that comes with it) and clear case, is it better to get the full cover version or not? Thanks.

There is no perfect screen protector for the 6S. I'm running without one and the iPhone looks and feels so much better.

This obsession with protecting the screen is getting out of hand especially at that one dude who returned his iPhone because it caused a halo effect when a SP was applied. Beyond pathetic and embarrassing. SMFH.

Yep, there is no perfect protector. I tried wearing my new iPhone 6s without a protector and I caved in a bought a Spigen full cover. Yes, it has the rainbow effect...but better than scratching the screen IMO.

But the new 0,4mm imos then?
Anyone have halo' s on that one?

Which screen protectors have halo effect? Which one leaves residue upon removal. They should be the one to avoid.

After 3 months of use, my Ice Max has cracked at the top right corner, where I've carelessly shoved top first into my car's glove box.... So devastated... Now I have to go back to flimsy plastic ones :(

From all the posts I have read, it seems that for the 6s Plus, those plastic screen covers may be better than the glass ones.

I just installed a Daswise tempered glass protector on my 6S plus yesterday. I used the hinge method to install and so far so good. No haloing.

I got a 6S Plus. So far I've tried:

Daswise edge to edge white
Maxboost 0.2mm
spigen glass tr slim
Tech armor privacy E2E
Walmart Tzumi
One glass from a friend that worked on hers
One extra I had left that worked for my old 6Plus

None worked, all left a halo edge. The best one so far was maxboost that left the tiniest edge. I guess The problem is the phone I got.

Out of all the protectors I've tried (Spigen, Anker, Daswise, etc.), the original Spigen I first purchased was the best out of the bunch. Only a slight halo in the top right corner, otherwise it sealed very well for the 2 months I've had it on.

So after returning all the other SP's back to Amazon due to halo, I figured I give Spigen another shot as I was okay with my original one. And what do you know, received my Spigen iPhone 6S Plus today from Amazon and its a perfect install with no halos. Perfectly sealed all around and not a single halo in sight. So it seems even between the same manufacturers it seems like a toss up on halos or none.
