6s Plus. Was sick the last few days, but kept using the phone albeit sparingly. This is the most life i've ever gotten out of an iPhone yet. Zero charges inbetween as well.

The Note 5 battery probably lasts longer when watching video or web browsing with the radios & GPS switched off, but in everyday use no Android device beats a 6+/6S+ for battery life.
Once again proof please? Like i said i get 43 hours off the plug on average from my note 4 with 8 hours SOT.

Well I got over 11 hours of SOT with my 6S+ the other day...
Ive got well over that with less standby time. Im not saying the iphone 6 plus has bad battery life, its obviously great but to say its better then any other phone with zero proof is premature. If the 6plus is getting over 40 hours off the plug with 8 hours SOT i would love to see it.

I've never heard of a Note 4 beating a 6+ in everyday usage when it comes to battery life. Most Note 5 reviews quote approx 5 hours of heavy use between charges. I can get 7 or 8 hours of heavy use before I need to charge.

I'm not criticising the Notes, I like them. Just with those high def screens and the Android o/s they are never going to beat an iPhone 6+/6S+ for battery life.

Ill believe that when i see something in black and white. 5 hours of heavy use on a Note 5 seems very low unless they have gone backwards since the Note 4.

Somethings wrong with your note then, My Note 4 with everything on lasts on average of 1 day and 19 hours. Thats 43 hours. If i use the screen heavily i get 7-8 hours SOT no probs.
I'm a power user. I keep a micro usb charger on me at all times. Due to the poor battery life. Everyone I work with that has a Galaxy note. Ask me to use me charger when they see me. I travel all day from one location to the next. Visiting job sites. Most people I talk to have the same problem I have with the note. It's a beautiful screen and great for customizing. The battery life is 4-8 hours of use. Every iPhone I have ever owned from the 4s to the 6s Plus. The iPhone wins hands down. I'm a techy so I love trying and using androids. The battery just is poor. It's because of the screen and the OS.

I agree. I like the notes. For what they are and do. The battery life is 4-8 hours. Why would we make this up.

The Notes have decent battery life but the 6s Plus is just on another level. It beats almost every phone out there and even approaches iPad like battery life. It is to be expected as well with Samsung's screens and the size of the 6s Plus.

Now i know your talking crap when you say the 4s has better battery life then a Note. o_O
Im yet to see anyone provide some solid facts on the SOT and standby of the 6 plus. All i know is i recharge my Note 4 every 2 days and im a power user. im only seeing people say the notes only last 4-8 hours which is rubbish. If my battery was that bad i would not be defending it.

I have been purchasing notes since the Note 2. I have owned a Galaxy S3 and S4. They have a 3-6 hour battery life. The Notes only last 4-8 hours Every model. Look it up. Google your proof. It's easy. Watch a YouTube video. Every note I have owned can't keep up with a power user lifestyle. That's why I use them for work only. By the time I get off the phone is dead if I didn't charge it. Believe what you wish. I'm no hater just a power user. I use my phones for navigation, Sirius radio, texting, making phone calls , writing notes and taking several photos a day. The only thing that is crap is the Samsung Galaxy Notes battery life. I like the note. I wouldn't get them if I didn't.

I doubt any phone can keep up with a power user lifestyle. ;)
But I understand where you're coming from.

Personally, I'm a light to moderate user. I don't do Facebook or Twitter or Instagram at all. Don't check my emails many times a day. Don't play games (most of the time). I browse the web, watch Youtube videos, Whatsapp/Wechat friends and take photos and videos occasionally (more frequently when on vacation).

Music... I never purchase music, neither do I believe in storing a large library of music in the phone.

That's it.

Tell that to a laptop battery...
Running a laptop off the mains most of the time and with the battery constantly getting topped-off to 100% kills them in no time. Sure the charging circuits have safety mechanisms to prevent overcharging but the battery is still in a constant charge cycle.

My wall socket timer was £8 and takes care of charging in a more agreeable manner.
I have charged regularly overnight as well as leaving charger on phone when at work so I am full when I depart. Done so since 3GS, 4s, 5s, 6 plus, and will continue to do so with 6s plus. Kept phones for 1, 2 and 3 years. Never had a battery go bad that I needed replacement. Did your laptop battery that went bad have the reduction to to trickle charge system like the phones. And the comparison is spurious, as phones are mobile devices that at best stay on charger overnight. Laptops, while portable are often used like desktops. Staying on charger for weeks, months and years. The comparison is false.

I usually take a shower, brush my teeth , cut my finger nails , trim my beard and edge my hair. When I finish I get a full charge to 100 percent from 60% or 70%. When I get home I still have over half of my battery supply.

some growth you've got there..

Perhaps you should research at xda. If one roots and debloats you can easily get a full day of heavy use on a note4. How do I know. Had one for a year. People in this thread are so fracking narrow minded when the precious iPhone is given a challenge. Before all I heads get the undies in a wad here, I did switch to the iPhone 6a+ from a note. Search my posts
Reason I switched is Sammy locked the boot loaders up tighter than a virgin.
I said it before and in this thread and some knucklehead said "good try buddy"
My iPhone is now getting almost as good battery life as the note 4 used to. I shut down most of iCloud and location services to do so
The note was rooted stock only running ad blockers. Don't believe me, I could care less. Least I am open minded enough to try the iPhone after 6 plus years on android

I have did my share of XDA roms and mods. I thought we were talking about stock phones. I'm not a droid hater. I had the first droid sprint put out. The HTC Hero. I've owned 5 or 6 different Samsung phones. I prefer iOS to droid but I do love what droid is good for. It's battery life. It sucks.
