Smart self-promotion, except they're liars because they know with absolute certainty Apple couldn't change the name now (and they wouldn't want them to either, because Apple will inadvertently continue to promote their company's name for years now).

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the boxes are already printed and the TV ads are already done too. I don't see apple changing the name at this point in the game.

Ahahahahahahaha...nope. Dream on. It's gonna be called the iPhone 6s and I really don't think Apple could care less about some small advertising agency called '6S'. Not Apple's problem.

I was kind of hoping they might change it to 7 or some other naming scheme to totally screw with Samsung.
Samsung not only copies their design, features, packaging, marketing but also their naming scheme with a subtle change.

I got a sales call from 6s marketing on my answer machine and I thought it was Apple saying I won a new 6s to claim my prize, what should I do?

6S does look a lot like 6-Sigma, the statistical term and the manufacturing/quality process named after it. This may be why the marketing company used the term. 6-Sigma is often abbreviated as 6S by people who can't easily type the Greek character. I have some T-shirts with "6S" on them, which I got when working for an autoparts company that was doing a 6-sigma campaign.

6S kind of means "close to perfect".

It would be very ironic if there ended up being a manufacturing defect in the iPhone 6S lines. The 6S wouldn't be 6-Sigma.

Buy 'em out, stick 'em in a leaky basement in the back of beyond, forget about them. Market your way out of that!

6S just got 86'd :)

Fun marketing play. Will mainstream media pick this up? If so, totally worth it. Of course Apple won't change the name. But folks will wonder who the 6S guys are.

But not in this case.

I'd to see Apple move away from this naming scheme altogether. Just call it the iPhone 2015 (and iPhone Plus 2015). We all know there's a new one every year. The number is getting a little awkward.

This is obviously a no name company hoping to ride on the coattails of Apple. Clearly it's working.

Wow, what a shameless publicity stunt by a company no one has ever heard of or cares about. I would never do business with a marketing company like that, it's quite pathetic if you ask me to try and ride the coattails of Apple. Try doing some legitimate marketing.

They are a marketing company, and this is a marketing ploy, so I guess this should be expected.
