This is the first time in a while dealing with ATT but from my conversation with several supervisors while resolving other issues, they all indicated that I will be receiving it prior to the date listed.

6S+ phones ordered through ATT.com, not apple or Apple app, what's your delivery date?

It was the exact same thing that happened to me last year when I did the preorder, give or take an hour, since last year the Apple Store app was down for about an hour and a half or so after the 3am supposed opening time. I did one line with AT&T, got the next one with a ridiculous shipping time, closed it down and did it through Apple. Got both on the first day.
Im rooting for you. I talked to supervisors too who gave me hope I'd get my AT&T' order on launch and didn't get a phone on launch day when I ordered at 3am EST...good luck though
What time did you pre-order last year? If it was right when pre-orders opened, I'd be a little worried... lol
I just did a chat to ask about the October 16-23 dates. Essentially I was told like it was a bug that happens sometimes and I would see the phone by the 24 as originally shown. (Though I actually didn't look before the order to see if the 24 was originally shown for me). The only flaw in my question was that I said I ordered an "iPhone 6 Plus" not 6s Plus! Oops. Though I think he knew what I meant since he said the 24th in his response. I hope this is true! If another person wants to ask in chat for a second opinion that may be helpful.
I cant even get chat for last 2 days... I would call, but had kids all weekend and didnt feel like spending 2 hours on phone with ATT.....
Just curious, how do you specifically know for a fact ? I`m on the negative side that we wont get them on time and mentally preparing my self for that, but still some how hoping for the best... But how do you know for a fact ?
Right at 3am est.....and got it a week after launch day. I was all kinds of hopeful cuz I talked to supervisors at att and assured me I'd probably get it on launch day. That never happened
I ordered the last 2 phones with AT&T and ordered phones right at 3am, actually a little before 3am as at&t had the site open 5 min earlier like it happened this year for some . I was so optimistic about getting it on launch day since I ordered the phone at a good time even with Oct shipping dates. Called att supervisors to see this and they gave me hope. False hope. It happened with the 5s as well. A lot of people got phones on launch day but many didn't as well. Apple had to supply the carriers phone but they will prioritize phone orders made on Apple.com. I made a mental note never to order with att again. Check the forum for what happened last year, it was a mess with att as it always has been. You probably won't have to wait till Oct but you might not get in on launch day. Depends what color you got as well. Pink gold phones are the hot ones this year, apparently

I think most will be fine. I ordered at 2;53.

Just cause you have to wait doesn't mean you didn't get the right phone. You will be okay.
Yeah, I know I will be ok, got screwed by apple watch launch this year with my choises and survived.
Ordered mine , 3:15 am, shipping oct 16-23, called today to check on status, talked to a very nice lady, asked her why so late in shipping, she said , to be honest, apple did not ship us any 6S pluses, we are hoping in the next week we get a shipment, if we don't we are hoping to have them by mid October, but we have plenty of 6s in stock, not sure why. She also said, thats the date they expect them in the warehouse, hopefully it wot be delayed, but once they get them they will ship the phone next day air.

Just curious, why wouldn't Apple shipped AT&T any 6S+'s? They had to have known it was going to be a popular choice since it sold so well last year. I just don't understand that at all.

Is that true? I remember someone posting stats on this forum a while ago stating that the sales of the 6 was 3x times the numbers for the 6+.
I don't think anyone on here should be telling people they are going to be ALL "fine" on launch day. It's not responsible nor fair and telling people that will genuinely disappoint many when launch day comes by. Based on history, some WILL luck out but many will have to wait a week or more for new phones if you used AT&T . I currently work for Verizon but also worked at ATT and it's well known fact that Apple will fulfill their orders FIRST over carrier pre orders. I'm telling you because I ordered my phone 5 minutes before 3am and didn't get in on launch with the 6+ and the 5s.
That's a little strange that they would send them no stock but send it to the other companies.

1. Apple really didn't sent any 6sPlus models to ATT, but had plenty for themselves and other carries (I find this hard to believe, don't think ATT would take that very well)
2. There is some delay or issue with stock that cause ATT to be very conservative on shipping dates with the 6sPlus and as they get it cleared up we may see SOME improvement for some folks.
I want to believe it's more like the second one, but there's really no honest way to know unless ATT leaders tell us themselves (and I don't think customer service has much clue about what's really going on).

Well, I was able to get a launch day order in through the Apple site, though I did order another one through AT&T right at 3am EST and that has an October ship date. When I get the first one, I'll just cancel the other order, or wait for it and re-sell.
Maybe when AT&T heard about Apple's new upgrade program they flipped out because they aren't going to make any money with NEXT so Apple said f*#k you guys we aren't sending you any phones lol
Seriously though I ordered a 16 gig 6S+ at 2:51am est and my order is October 13-23 like everyone else. But it did go from backordered to in progress so I'm sure we will have our phones on release day.
I work for AT&T...Just to let you all know...the only phone that is back ordered is the iPhone 6S+ Rose Gold. Every other phone is still giving September 25th delivery date. Now, as for ATT NEXT, we are making money, we are moving away from two year contract because it is costing us money and it is costing the consumer more money as well. The reason the two year agrement is more expensive for most users is because that is the only way we can make money back on the phone.
