My 6+S did a weird reset after doing an iTunes restore from a 6+. It seems to be doing ok now. Going to give it some time to "settle in"

The 6+S gets hot, and i feel my display is not as good as the old 6+ as the new phone has dim corners.

I think there is a bit of a learning curve here, between the force touch, the new fingerprint sensor and the blazing speed of the phone it feels a little out of control.

It's a 6S Plus. Not a 6 Plus S :)

I've the same issues. Clean install is no option for me since I do not want to lose all health / activity data from my watch.

I very much doubt that a corrupted backup would cause occasional lag and freezing. It sounds like an iOS9 or dare I say it 6S+ problem. Bear in mind that many failed to see any issue with the 6+ so take those who claim buttery smoothness with a pinch of salt. The 6+ had major problems, period.

i have same issue, 6s plus 128 gig, seems better after running battery down till dead then doing full recharge

I've a 6S 128GB (no plus)

I have 6s Plus 128GB, setup as new and haven't had even the slightest lag with opening apps, unlocking with Touch ID, etc. I also updated to 9.0.1 with same performance. Feels a million times faster than my Iphone 5.

My problem was that my icloud backup did not show up as being available. I had to backup manually with iTunes and am restoring the backup to the new phone at the moment. Maybe for the better as icloud restores take a loooong time, especially with a 128 gig device. Looks like the itunes restore will be done in another 18 minutes..fingers crossed.

My 6s Plus had some lag issues. After I did a CLEAN install, it's working smooth as butter. Blazing fast and extremely consistent in performance.

Anyone else having a problem since updating to 9.0.1 that their home screen won't rotate into landscape mode? Every app I've tried rotates fine but the home screen stayed locked in portrait mode.

I also had a brief moment where my screen went black and the phone became unresponsive, power and home screen did nothing. Luckily a hard reset fixed it. Panicked for a moment!

I've restored but getting this brief pauses and freezes. It looks like i need to setup as a new phone which is a PITA! Why do I have to setup as a fresh phone every time... so many threads of people saying 'yeah, it's ok, do a restore, it's totally fine'.

Is anyone else getting these issues?
I had to manually reinstall about 15 apps.

This aside, can you guys on 6S + tell me whether the stutter caused on scrolling is anywhere near to being eradicated? In apps like Tapatalk, Twitter especially!

I've used Tapatalk and Twitter today on my 6S+ and they both run great.

Not owning a 6S Plus here, but with iOS 9, Siri's "ProActive" feature is indexing everything when you set up or restore a phone. It could mean that you'll have some lag for a few hours.

If you still have issues tomorrow, it might be something hardware related (like the downscaling causing lag).

I always set my phone up as new. Only existing contacts and notes remain. Photos and videos are on my computer. My iPhone 6s + is running super fast

Apple replaced my iPhone 6+ last Sunday for the price of a screen repair because restoring to iOS 9 caused a bootloop. The Apple genius told me that Apple is having a lot of issues with iOS 9 and restores right now.

I don't think iOS 9 was really ready yet.
not a repeat from ios 8 huh?

No stutter is music to my ears. This leads me to conclude that the A8 generation of devices were faulty from the start!
