Purify is the ad blocker, first one that came up when I searched the app store (it's 99 cents.) Heard them talking about them on Macbreak Weekly and how Safari flies once you block ads. It only works if you have ios9 installed. For me, speed would be half the reason to upgrade. 3D Touch is the other reason but I feel like it won't be that useful for another few months when most apps support it. I came close to going down to the Apple Store and impulse buying a 6S+ but called and they don't have any 64GB SG VZW. I think it's a no-brainer to upgrade if you have anything other than a 6/6+.
Wow! Safari does fly while using this blocker...what a difference.

I did a search so please excuse my poor search skills and just link the thread if this has been covered.

Is the 6S Plus (or S generation overall this year) worth upgrading from last year's 6 Plus?

Thanks.
Yes if you can afford it.

I was never part of the RAM brigade and felt that 1 GB on my 6 plus was adequate. I have an air 2 and admittedly it was faster and smoother than my plus. However now that I have the 6S plus I have to admit that I'm really enjoying the extra gig of ram. The thing flies.

I haven't used the camera yet so I can't comment on the new camera but that was one of the features that interested me the most after the keynote.

3D Touch is also worth the upgrade. I was sceptical before the keynote and felt that it wasn't any different to a long press. After the keynote my opinion has changed and it influenced my decision to upgrade. Having used it now I really like it and it will only get better when more apps support it.

So the TLDR is yes it is worth the upgrade.

If you need the 6s Plus, it's worth upgradind from last 6 Plus.

Like others have said depends on your situation. I upgraded because I sold my 6+ for $600. That plus gaining sales value for next year in newer model made it a no brainier. I'm not blown away by the S, but that's partially because my plus finally started working pretty smoothly on 9.1 public beta.

If I had to pay full price I wouldn't have upgraded. I do appreciate the speed though, the 3D Touch will be awesome once more widely supported as well.

I did feel like the plus was better looking, maybe others can't but I notice the weight/thickness difference. The weight doesn't bother me but that little bit of extra thickness does. Can't put my finger on it but something about the design seems to have subtly changed along with the extra thickness. Can't tell if the glass in front doesn't have the same measurements/curve to the edges or what it is. Just not as pleasing naked.
