Is there any chance that an Apple Genius will replace the screen because it is "too yellow" but working fine? Should I try my luck?

That would be really unlikely. The yellow hue is normal on the 12 Mini. My whites look straight up yellow in comparison to the 6S panel. It’s like the yellow hue all SE1 panels have at the top edge of the screen. It’s not a manufacturing defect, it’s meant to look that way. It doesn’t bother me though because I’ve had the phone since release and it has never given me any problems. I watch a lot of media on my phone and the image quality is magnitudes above any LCD panel I’ve ever used… I would just get used to the whites not being perfectly white.
