iMessages issue

Both me and my GF had this issue.

We both have 2 iOS devices and only one of each shown the issue.

Both iPhones, the iPads worked fine...
The solution was the one I've seen suggested several time across Apple related websites.
Turn off iMessages in settings, reset network settings (you will loose your configured wifis), phone will auto-reboot, turn on iMessages and it worked both for me and my gf.
Apart from me and my gf I know 2 more people with the issue, that the fix resolved.
But I also have other several friends who were unaffected by this.

To say that this is a non-issue is a typical thing on these forums when the problem doesn't present to the person writing that, when it does, it's the end of the world...

It is an issue, and even if it only involves a fraction of a 1% it's still a lot of users who bought a phone and can't send messages and need to rely on suggested fixes and not an actual Apple provided fix.

WRONG! What I said is that the Apple IOS 7 GM Build was still Pre-Release on September 10th which was a WORD FOR WORD CARBON COPY of what it said on Apple's IOS 7.0 Developer's Beta Home Page, which was basically a warning from Apple not to leak the IOS 7 GM Build to non-developer's until it was finalized on September 18th. Just FYI.

You do know that the GM is the same as the public release, right? The GM is just released to developers beforehand so they can make sure their app is using the final APIs.

Apple obviously doesn't care about the betas getting to non-developers - if they did, they would easily stop it.

Either way, you said that GM's are usually released on Wednesday, but the GM was released to developers on a Tuesday. If you're talking about the public release, say that, because the GM specifically refers to the build released to developers prior to the public release.

Also, the public release date has absolutely nothing to do to iOS point update releases - which is what this thread is talking about. And those are generally released on Monday or Tuesdays.

You claim to be a "developer," but you're sure very misinformed. It's kind of getting comical now.

iMessage is working for everyone else. Sorry I have to blame you or your network conditions

And how am I to blame? And I talked to T-mobile who really made an effort to double and triple check everything and then reset all network settings - despite the fact that T-mobile is very well aware that this is a device/software issue on Apple's side. But I'm sure you think that they are idiots as well.

I work for a health insurance company. Pleased to meet you! :D

Same here.

What is the imessage issue?

In my case it is that I can't send iMessages to certain people while it works fine with others. Messages seem to go out and half an hour later you find the red exclamation mark next to the message telling you it didn't go out. Resending then sometimes works, sometimes doesn't.

Resetting iMessages makes it work for a few hours and then it's back to not working. Couldn't find a pattern yet as far as locations, cell networks, devices or OS version is concerned.

7.0.3 probably will need beta/betas to test it out before being released by Apple.

No but it was sent to carriers for testing several weeks ago. Apple gives bug fix releases to carriers for testing but they don't post the betas for developers because there are no API changes in bug fix releases.

We dont know 100% if it was seeded for carriers and employees, it was said only by BGR which also said that it will be released by previous week but still nothing, so only speculation now :)

There has been plenty of websites whose logs starting spiking with hits from 7.0.3 right when BGR reported carrier testing was in the works. It is not a coincidence. We know Apple sends updates to carriers for testing and many of these websites reported the hits were from inside Apple and outside. I wouldn't really call that wild speculation.

really hope for the update this week but wouldnt be surprised if one does not pop up till after the event on tuesday in either iOS 7.0.3 or 7.1 form.

There is no pre-release. The GM is released to developers, and then there is a public release (there's not mention of GM in relation to public release).

The GM IS the Public Release!

Correct: 9 to 5 Mac also reported that they were getting hits from Apple IOS 7.0.3!

It was actually on October 5th, NOT Several Weeks Ago.

Let me make this clear: IOS 7.1 will contain API changes so Apple WILL have to hand it out to Apple Developer's (like me) as a Beta first!

While the build that is released to the public at public release time is generally the same one as the GM build, no one refers to the public release as the GM release. No matter how you spin it, what you said just doesn't fly.

IOS 7.0.3 will be released in less than 15 minutes if my ITunes Update Check in ITunes 11.1.1 is correct!
And when this doesn't happen can we count on you to perhaps just stop posting in this topic given that not only are you posting just plain out obviously incorrect information but you even try to discredit actual correct information with made up stuff. It was time to stop a while back already.

That is NOT Trolling! Do I need to snap another picture of ITunes for you to understand that it has been Delayed until 10/24/2013? Apple is ONLY ANNOUNCING the new IPads on the 22nd, I doubt that they will also go on SALE on the 22nd, have you guys ever considered that reality?

Please don't. It doesn't mean anything.
