The one app that does seem to be broken, at least for me, is the music app.

On both my 5 and new 5s, the lock screen music player can be unresponsive, it almost never responds to bluetooth audio "play" commands anymore, and iTunes Radio is basically useless. It will repeat the same song right after it just played it, it ignores "Never play again", etc. etc.. also, iTunes Radio will sometimes decide it's not connected to a network even though it is, and will straight up refuse to work even if I kill the app and relaunch it.

It's pretty clear that iOS 7 needed another good 6 months in the oven. I am not super upset at this point (especially since it now seems the iMessage fix was server side, and it's been smooth sailing for over a week now), but man. Really, really sloppy on their part.

iOS 7 needs some work, but no worse than android is now. Good thing is that Apple is most likely working on it as we speak, whereas android is android.

deleting songs and call history pretty much leads to crashes every single time.. real annoying. Hoping this gets fixed with this update.

But Android users can tweak anything they don't like... we're stuck with whatever crap Apple feeds us

Change log -

*Fixed Calendar app so it's not useless
*Animation speed can be adjusted in Accessibility
*Fixed bug where the lockscreen timer was not showing when 12 hour clock is on
*Fixed various battery draining bugs
*Fixed blue screen on iPhone 5S

Add to that:

* Fixed crash when the alarm goes off while in a web browser
* Fixed "cheek dialing"/speaker phone going off during phone call/proximity sensor issues
* Fixed random behavior of screen back light
* Added capability to send emails with attachments and send photos as attachments
* Fixed iMessenger to always send and receive iMessenges
* Fixed passcode screen weird double-click sound behavior
* Included option to change keyboards to white on dark instead of grey on white (just like some apps still have it, including the one where you change your passoword for exchange servers...)
* Finally provided a reliable push email service

I'm sure I'm forgetting something (all these issues appearing on my iPhone 5, T-Mobile version)

Folks,

I've actually not seen the iMessage issue in a long time. I'm wondering if Apple has fixed this on the server side?

If they fixed the iMessage issue server-side, then releasing 7.0.3 may not be as urgent as it previously was, so they may delay it so they can fix other issues as well. Or maybe go directly to 7.1 when the iPads come out.

Just a thought. Has anyone experienced the iMessage issue in the last few days?

I use to have the issue then I did the turn off iMessage, Reset Network Settings fix and all has been fine since. I'm wondering if it was fixed server side or if the fix I mentioned was a permanent resolution?

Had it yesterday again. And it doesn't seem to matter if the receiving end is on iOS7 or still on 6.

Your mentioned fix, for most of users who faced up with this issue, works for several days then bug appears again.

Those are the official change logs? (Adjusting animation speeds and etc.)

What do you have against Android? Sounds like someone who hasn't actually used the system blowing knowledge out of their rear end.

ios7 has rendered my 5 hopeless

List:
iMessage issue
dropped calls
lost signal
terrible app revisions
data ability massively sporadic
signal strength indicator almost meaningless

come on Apple - as we in this country have learned from the absurd New Labour experiment, change for change's sake is seldom a good idea. My 5 used to be such a decent device; now its almost unusable. Pah!

I have a 5, have been using iOS 7 for 4 months, and have had none of those issues. Have you tried a restore?

Actually, all of my previous smart phones have been android phones...Up to the gs3, 5 in total.

Assumptions are like rear ends...

* Added "Apple Sunset Experience" a dark iOS 7 theme for low light environments

- because being Apple, they won't just call it Night Mode like everyone else

That's the thing. Some people experience some or all of those issues (and others) - while others don't. Some of this could be how people use their phones and how much attention they pay to details like that. But I suspect that there is more to it. Worst case would be if hardware variances play a role. I don't know how else to explain it. Differences in install method? Different networks? Interference caused by third party apps? Who knows.

Please don't tell me this changelog is imaginary? I was excited and just now began to wonder that it might be wishful thinking. :-(

Seriously? It is just wishful thinking. Apple doesn't even post changelogs before they release an update.

iCloud's push e-mail has been perfect for the 3 weeks or so I've been using it. Way, way better than Outlook, which I had to give up after 4 rocky months.

So, seriously then, why don't you own Android products? I'm being serious. Many people complain and say, "Android has this feature," or, "Android can be customized but Apple can't." So, what is it that is keeping you with Apple? If you like the features and customization of Android, why aren't you using Android?

You can't tweak bad programming. ;-)
Nor could we tweak an interrupt into iOS 7 animations...Tweak the FPS during screen rotate...ect

Androids tweaks are just changing color and sound, not performance.
