By the way, I am in the St. Louis metro region.

1- Who else out there is in this boat?
2- Who can tell me the time between "Preparing for Shipping" and "Shipped" with a tracking number?

First off, a friendly tip for your statistics above. I believe that "carrier" and "service" are the exact same thing (at least in my country).

1. I'm not in this boat (I really wish I were). I'm buried under roughly 48 hours worth of orders, and was relegated to the "October" club.

2. However if you were to look through the last roughly 1.5-2 pages of this forum, people seem to be stuck in that "preparing for shipment" limbo (again I wish I were so lucky to be in your position). According to some, the shipment may not leave until tomorrow night (at the earliest) or even Friday.

Well FYI not much available in south florida. Basically some ATT models. So Ill paitienly watch for it to change from "preparing for shipment" LOL
 
Are you west coast?

I'm just trying to figure out why a bunch of us have the exact same tracking but delivery is either Wed, Thurs, or Friday. Earlier iPhone 5S shipments were taking a day from Korea to their Destination. So Wednesday seems about right. For those of us with Friday as our day, it seems a bit off.

East Coast and 2-3 day shipping.
 
Just picked up my unlocked T-Mo gold from my office mailroom! I will have to wait to activate it until I can get to a T-mo store though. I am porting my number from ATT. The box is so pretty! :D

You should check...I do believe you might be able to do it online!

I have noticed that the status changes have been taking place for my iPhones between 5pm and 6pm EDT

Only waiting for 2 of them... one is somewhere over the Pacific on its way to Alaska and the one is in Preparing Shipment purgatory....
 
Mine is the exact same arrival in Korea, but yet to see the Dept scan. Although I have a feeling they are doing it while traveling so expect to see it any minute.


Hmmm, well, maybe I was wrong. Plane has landed and my status didn't change, unless they scan the departure of korea and arrival in Anchorage at same time. Blew that theory outta the water!

I did not. I got email from amex about a "card not present" charge to my card which prompted me to check my order status on apple.

Yes, I received mine today. I ordered a iPhone 5s, 32 GB, Space Gray (GSM) on 9/20 with a confirmation at 3:09 AM (EST).

Darn I Order 7:30pm EST 9/20 with a delivery expectancy of Oct-7-10
 
Mine arrived same time in korea but it hasn't departed according to UPS website.

Called again to tell apple about the dismal customer service and was given a case for free. While I appreciate it very very much I really think the staff should be a little more nice around this time of year
