Called Apple today because my Apple store had stock of AT&T 32 GB Silver 5S. Was trying to get my order cancelled so I could pick one up at the store. Sucks that there is a 3 day wait to get my upgrade reset. Got a free case and upgraded shipping out of the deal. Still processing.....

----------

Just checked my order status on apple and it has shipped. Like many of you I was preparing for shipment since about 4pm eastern time and it appeared to have just changed over the last hour. Would be fantastic if i received it this week!

No such luck here, preparing for shipment since about 2pm EST yesterday, 64gb grey and gold on ATT ordered about 25mins after the store went live. Best case maybe Monday for delivery at this point.

So... if some people have been in the "preparing for shipment" stage for 24+ hrs. Will they start adding in new orders, even though they may be a day or two from being ready?

Same here except I received my order confirmation @ 3:10am. Trying not to get aggravated as I know they are doing everything they can but this is seriously the worst experience I've ever hard trying to get an iPhone especially the day after I'm unable to cancel my order my local store has phones in stock. Oh well guess it will make it that much better when I actually get it.

Your package may have already shipped!!!! Check

Ok I just discovered that the Apple website is not up to date. You can track your package without having received the tracking number. My package has already shipped and is in Incheon yet the website says "preparing for Shipment"

Do the following:
1. Go to www.ups.com
2. Click 'Tracking' tab at the top
3. Select Track by Reference
4. For the shipment Reference input your order number minus the last two numbers
5. Hit Track and cross your fingers

There you go!

----------

By the way my package is set to Arrive Friday by end of Day
Gold 16GB T-Mobile ordered placed at 12:09 on Launch

This doesn't work for me.

Mine went to "Preparing for Shipment" yesterday along with most everyone else.

Not working. Tried the whole order #, order # without the last two numbers, and without the W.

Nothing.

You should check...I do believe you might be able to do it online!

They ended up wanting to replace the sim, even though my phone from Apple came with one, so I went in anyway. Also, to anyone interested, if you sign up with T-mobile this month, you get 2.5 GB of free monthly hotspot access via tethering for free for as long as you are with them. Totally didn't know that, and totally psyched! Now I don't need my mifi that I sometimes carry with me. So glad to go contract-free for less than my AT&T plan costs with free tethering as well as unlimited talk, text, and data. It remains to be seen how the LTE service performs, but so far so good!

Just joined so I could post in this thread.

Ordered a 16 gb gold unlocked. Received confirmation email at 2:13 and phone is still processing. I've been looking at store pick up but haven't seen any gold here Dallas at all.
Not sure how long I can't take the waiting as I am using an ancient flip phone right now.
At least I know I'm not alone.

Finally got around to getting on the iMac to do this, but here's a photo of my continuing limbo:

It's been 24hrs or more since my status changed to "Preparing for shipment" when i will get "SHIPPED"? :(

iPhone 5S 32gbs GOLD tmo (unlocked)
iPhone 5S 16gbs SILVER tmo (unlocked)

I'm in the same boat - 28 hours since it changed to "preparing for shipment" & charged my credit card but no action since then....I tried all the UPS tricks but nothing comes up

A good case is a free case...after all the crap the man on the phone said it was the least he could do....now just gotta wait for the damned phone to get here D:

Crossing fingers....

Guelph, but its being shipped to my dads office, I cant just stay home all day!

----------

No ****! Its being saying that since 6 AM for me. Heartbreaking :(

Good idea on the office.

I have it going to my parent's home, but could have had it sent to my work I suppose. But then again, that's not as secure as my mom's kitchen since anyone could just sign for it and drop it or misplace it. Not worried about theft, unless its a visitor to the office... I will definitely think about my office next time.

Yes. Clear US customs in Anchorage before next leg to Louisville. Then to Canadian hubs in Vancouver, Calgary, Winnipeg, Montreal, Hamilton and Toronto for the next leg of the journey.

Thx for info, and I believe you, but also curious as to how you know. Is it based on your experience as a customer or do you have "inside knowledge"?

CC charged yesterday.

Preparing for shipping since yesterday. Maybe 24 hours or more ago.

However.. No change, and can't track anything. The order number trick does not work, yet.

For the people that tracking by the order number didn't work for them (Order number starts with W and you remove the last two numbers) also try to use the phone number you renewed with as the reference e.g 3231234567.

In my case I purchased a T-Mobile Unlocked model so they do not know my number that is associated with the phone, but for people renewing contracts this might work as well because some sort of reference number is always associated to a UPS package.

My order still says "Preparing for Shipment" but is in fact already IN TRANSIT.

status : Processing
any one else with same delivery date and who are under processing..

Same. It appears UPS is being UPS. I wish Apple used FedEx :/

Not updating for me either. I'm watching the plane on flightaware that I THINK has our phones. Hopefully in the morning it will show an updated status and actually list being in the states. Hopefully mine on it's way to Texas!

I'm seriously hating this thread at this point.... ugh.
(Sorry - just venting.)

Am I the only 32GB gold att that's still in "Processing Items" ?

Ackk!!!!

It's a good idea, but then I have to go get it, so another trip past London to go pick it up!
It's in Concord, ON now. No deliver by date though. Are you the same?
