This is absolutely ridiculous in my opinion, people will not agree with me on this but oh well. It does not take 2 days to ship something. What a joke!

I think it has more to do with finding room on flights, as opposed to APL just being lazy and taking their sweet time. How many UPS flights depart Incheon for Anchorage on a daily basis; one, maybe two? One has to imagine these planes are not chalk full of iphones like many hope. I doubt they would move lots very far from the factory until they knew they had a flight to stick them on. Still preparing...

All of this free stuff, must be an American thing. After 4 calls to Apple customer service, the only free thing I'm getting is lip service! Unless I'm not saying some magic words (that you all are), I can't get a truly sympathetic ear. Either I'm a bull in a china shop when it comes to these things, or I'm truly just that unlucky. Frowns all around, I'm really sad.:(

I wish! My order has been preparing to ship for over 48 hours. I called apple this morning to ask about the status and was told not to be alarmed. She assured me it was normal and would arrive by 10/10. However, the rep also mentioned something about there being a shortage. I told her I understood that, but if it's "Preparing to Ship" doesn't that mean there's a phone ready to be shipped to me? Her reply was "well, this is a hot item and there's a shortage." She didn't answer my question and instead left me feeling as though there isn't a phone waiting with my name on it and the change from "Processing Items" to "Preparing to Ship" doesn't mean a darn thing.

I kinda rambled, sorry...

Yeah I kinda guessed it. Looks like Apple is ready to say anything just to keep our mouths shut. Really pathetic.

You're absolutely right!

Look at it this way, we are the paying consumers. Without our orders for phones, the device would have been a complete flop. They produced a device, and we responded (positively) by purchasing the most amount of phones (ever) on a launch weekend. We pay their salaries, and we deserve better. With increased consumer pressure, hopefully Apple will get the message for next time.

It's important that we voice our displeasure, so that Apple knows that a) we are not blind sheep, and b) we're not ok with how they're handling us.

i'm pissed now, my shipping went from expected delivery oct 8-11 to oct 7-10 to oct 2-7 and now back to oct 7-10. WTF!! This is so ridiculous!!! why do they keep doing this!!!

Yay my case shipped! Now just to get the damned phone out of processing mode.

After seeing the phone "shipped by" dates slip three times on launch day, it's amazing how Apple still says "October" for phones ordered today. Based upon where they are now... that would be nothing short of a miracle.

Well I'm never gonna order online at launch time again. I'd go to store if I can or wait for store pickup option, learned my lesson. Apple is terribly messed up right now.

I envy you! LOL...still stuck at "Processing"

One of mine is preparing to ship, the other one has a tracking number (though it is still in China). Both 32GB space gray. Ordered about 2 minutes apart. Pretty much exactly as expected, October 8th is in the Window Apple promised. Not sure why people expected them to be faster. They almost always hit their date target when I order stuff.
