OMG! i guess we will never know. Whenever i call, my calls are always forwarded to a specific supervisor who will be handling all my information from now on. Since they already gave me a free car charger that i wanted ( no case because i think they are unflattering to the phone) i haven't called back. Looks like it should be shipping soon. It went from oct 8-11 to oct 7-10 and now oct 2-7, quite a few updates and i still have next day shipping.

they gave me a product RED case as i ordered iphone 5s silver..
God knows what apple guys up to..

yeah, I'm glad you got your free case. I was offered it and would have chosen the red to if i liked the way it looked on the phone but opted for the exclusive incase mini car charger. I hope they ship soon!!!!
 
First phone delivered (64G Silver). Second phone (64G Space Grey) - Prepared for Shipment (still) 7-10 business days delivery date still Oct 10.
 
Try searching by reference on the UPS tracking site. Use your phone number with no dashes or 1 as the reference.

Thanks...tried all that phone number, order number, etc. Other orders I've made with apple show up, even an ipod i bought but not this phone AARRRGGG

Ordered my AT&T 32gb silver at around noon ( 12 hrs after launch ) with the 7-10 day ship time. I checked at 5am and it was 7-10 as well.
I thought I would just check around town at Best Buy..apple...etc. Nobody had them of course ( except Sprint phones ) so I placed the order.

What I am not understanding is why people are complaining about not getting theirs yet...it says 7-10 days...So isn't Friday the 10th day? ( going by M-F )If it does not ship by then, believe me...I will be ticked ( to put it lightly ) ;)

BUT, here is where I am ( already ) a bit mad...some stores are getting them in daily...how can this be the case? You would think those of us loyal customers that ordered within hours would get ours shipped first.

It is Thursday in China now...( well barely ). Hopefully I see a change soon.

I am thinking of calling too...may as well try for a new case ( why not )...Yes, it says 7-10 days so they are living up to their side so far...but, my point will be that they are shipping UNSOLD phones first. :cool:


I agree. I have no idea why people are calling to complain, but I think it is just to get free stuff. The timing is clear on the order screen. It sucks that it is taking a while, but this is the demand that everyone has come to expect from Apple.

I waited for 12 hours at the store on launch after being told I would get my phone by the manager only to find out in the morning that there were no Silver-16s in store. So, I ordered online. It was frustrating, but nothing worth calling and talking to people who have no clue. The phones have nothing to do with customer service representatives. Complaining on here is one thing, but calling in just to complain or get free stuff is ridiculous.

And you're right, 7-10 BUSINESS DAYS. People crack me up.

(I paid for quicker shipping when it presented the option, and mine has shipped faster than those who have been given free/faster shipping. So, I honestly don't think it is worth it to have a representative alter your dates...it may just be pushing people further back in the cue than those that haven't been touched.)

No clue. Mine said Oct. 8-11 on Apple's website and now it says the 8th. However, UPS says Friday (10/4) and it allegedly shipped this morning. So, whatever that adds up to in your situation.
 
I was supposed to receive mine tomorrow(Oct.3rd) but I checked my UPS tracking this morning and well....

The UPS tracker website has my phone being last seen as arrived at the Zhengzhou China facility at 8:33 PM on Oct. 2nd. But they are estimating it to be delivered on Oct. 4th to me in NJ. Either the tracking is way behind or they just hired Flash Gordon for all expedited delivery. We will see what happens.

Actually tons of orders were shipped that quickly. With any luck you'll have yours on Friday as will I :)
 
I actually called Apple twice...what's deceiving is that the UPS tracking still says it's in route.

So UPS says it will be delivered today? Hopefully that means it is on the truck. If it does not arrive today I would definitely call Apple back tonight. There is no way you should wait 72 hours. Apple's estimate for delivery should be a non-issue once UPS gives you a delivery date.
 
Honestly I would be surprised if there wasn't any gamesmanship going on. To some degree Apple has been playing the supply and demand game. It's just surprising that on one hand, the physical Store employees heavily encourage everyone to order online. However, it appears to be more likely that the physical Stores are the first to receive stock. I don't know what game they're playing, but I'll definitely give them an earful for it.

I actually need a phone to replace broken one. I won't use a 5c (not professional). Couldn't pre-order 5s. Mine has been stuck at preparing for 2 days. My upgrade is no longer cancel able. The phone is in the store in stock. Called Apple, got a lot of "sorry I'll give you free stuff." Honestly don't care. Couldn't do anything to speed up, cancel or transfer.

Apple no longer caters to professionals (see 17" MacBook Pro, no serious Mac Pro or servers). It is officially now just a company for kids.

By contrast ATT worked out how I can grab the phone and return ordered one when it arrives. It is a sad day when ATT is better at customer satisfaction than Apple.

Well at least yours might be moving by the end of the day. I'm in processing limbo... trust me, your position is a whole lot better than mine.
 
Im in the same position where its supposed to deliver between 8-11 oct and its still at processin stage. Ordered it 3:09am EST.

So i called up apple twice and both times they said that there is no expediated shipping and i should hear by the end of the week
 
I never got an "Out For Delivery" notice like others in my city so I was very pleased when the man in brown delivered my 64 GB Grey at 9:36 AM MT this morning. Calgary, AB, Canada.

Just going through a restore right now. Installed the Apple leather case and had to remove it to install SIM. Dead easy using the "two fingers on top, two thumbs on Apple logo" method.

Sweet case!

Thumb scanner setup was a breeze.

Still syncing apps and then update to 7.02 and off to the races.

This phone is worth the wait. :)

I'm clocking in around the same times as you but I do show that my 5S has finally left Korea. Maybe your tracking just hasn't updated yet. Delivery still slated for Friday.

Your not alone! 32gb Gold AT&T. Ordered though apples site @ 3:10am. Been stuck at "preparing for shipment" since 9/30 @ 6pm. Credit card has been charged

I know it really means nothing, but it's the principle that counts. I'm not a fan of ringing into the store (nor do my circumstances allow for it) multiple times a day. It would be nice to be able to have a way to check it online. Plus if stock were to come in, I could reserve it and take my time to get to the store. Up here, we would have to drop everything we were doing at a moments notice, and break several traffic laws, just to get to the store in time.
 
Ordered a 32 GB silver on Friday and had it on the following Monday. I ordered a 64 GB silver on Monday and it is due for delivery Thursday of the same week. This was from a local AT&T with it being delivered to the store.

Same here. Called apple again today cause my card hadn't been charged yet and thought there may have been a problem. She had mentioned that my phone was actually in the US and my card doesn't get charged until the phone exchanges hands. Doesn't jive with all of what I'm reading on this board.
Very pleasant conversation with her by the way. Spoke for about 45 minutes. iPhones,Kids, life and the pursute of happy ness. Lol
