The amount of units that are bound for ATT customers is substantially greater than T-Mobile customers. Same goes for Verizon. Their units will be allocated first, especially since some of them will be locked. Makes sense but still sucks ass though.

Exactly and it really sucks. Apple claims that it manages pre-orders based on first come first served basis and this proves that this is not the case, since people who placed their order after me and got a delivery time frame which is 2 weeks after mine are now getting their orders shipped just because they're with a different carrier... The wait is still on for us

I agree. If anything, people who fully paid for the phone should get it first... but beggars can't be choosers.

JB plus, 128gb, ordered from Apple for AT&T, 10/18-10/31. Just went to "preparing for shipping" and apple put through charge for the tax.

No change in dates, though.

Exhibit A through Z. Jesus, why are T-Mobile customers still processing? Apple is just making me feel like a sore loser now.

You're not alone. I'm an ATT pre-order with confirmation time of 2:56am 9/9 and I'm still in processing. I'm usually pretty level headed with this stuff but what the hell did I stay up until 2am like a teenager to pre-order a phone that they clearly didnt have ready to ship?

The problem is you didn't order from Apple's website. This happens every single year. Always order through apple and not the carriers. Apple fulfills all its preorders first before fulfilling the carrier's preorders.

Because AT&T didn't get very many phones for shipping. I always tell people never order from AT&T directly because it will take longer!

I suppose my mindset was avoiding the site lock-up with the overwhelming demand on their servers. From what I've read, it took apple orders longer to process due to server overload. I thought I was ahead of the curve. Still extremely annoying.

I won't make that mistake ever again.

But, through Apple's eyes we have all paid in full. They are processing orders by received time, model, carrier, location, etc. It does look like T-Mobile orders are not being shipped but that's most likely due to shortage of those phones.

The ATT models are identical to the T-Mobile models. T-Mobile customers have to pay in full through Apple while ATT customers have various payment options from Apple or ATT through Apple's website.

T-Mobile iPhones are unlocked from the get go. Payment plans for T-Mobile have through been done on their side only.

But that can't possibly be true since even Apple says it's the same exact model as the AT&T. I just has a different SIM card.

So now your story was their website promised 7+ Jet Black available on Day One? Do you honestly not see this huge hole that I presented to you and you walked right into? And do you think the members of this forum represent 100% of the people that bought an iPhone 7? Did you not see the delivery estimate when you ordered your phone? So many holes in your argument ultimately about getting your phone...
Lol!! You're just sounding moronic now. I meet a new troll every day here at MR.. Kinda sad.

If you can't see Apple's epic fail here / after I've ordered the most popular phone on preorder for last 5 years and received it on launch day - AS PROMISED.. ..each year.. then you have something seriously wrong in intelligence dept. But I just added you to my ignore list -- bye!

*PLONK*

Just a guess, but maybe it's just how Apple is allocating phones per wireless carrier, with Verizon and AT&T getting the bulk of new iPhones since they have so many more subscribers. AT&T as the #2 wireless carrier in the US has more than double the number of subscribers. Who knows though? Sorry to hear about the delay.

I didn't exactly order jet black, but regular black. My original delivery date was 9/27-9/29. Today all of a sudden I get an email saying it shipped and new delivery date 9/20 by end of day. A rather pleasant surprise, though I figured it would move up, but not that much.

Still preparing to ship my email confirmation was at 12:09 nothing in my support profile and nothing on UPS 7+128 gig AT&T jet black

I do think it will move tonight it's been processing 48 hours and this is happened to me before in my prior purchases so I would think it would ship out some hot time tonight and I would get updated

Mine's in Louisville now, all imported and ready to go. In my hands tomorrow morning, guaranteed delivery, come sweet papa lol
Same here. Set for tomorrow - we shouldn't gloat though - can't figure out this T-Mobile delay for their customers. And for those that ordered through carrier websites - lessons learned.
