Honestly, I was worried about that since it was shown at keynote, so I just hate hearing it :p. I think of it as having an iPod-esque shine to it lol

I saw a jb 7 in store today and I didn't think it looked plasticky at all. The whole phone felt very solid. Obviously it had a million prints from the foot traffic but mine is going into a clear coat shield immediately :)

You'll prob get bumped to 9/23. There is a whole wave of people from yesterday who have been sitting in china for over 30 hours. Since they have limited space on the planes, it seems like estimated deliveries are getting bumped up a day. (mine went from 9/21 to 9/22)

Any idea how to check what flights are scheduled to fly from china?

My Jet Black 128 GB 7 Plus (AT&T) is now scheduled to arrive this Thur, 9/22.

Original order details:

-Ordered on 9/9 at 12:18 AM PST (site/app didn't go live until 12:16 for me)
-Delivers 10/10-10/17
-Shipping to NY, NY

Very happy that it's coming 3 weeks early.

Funny thing is, I was in Japan during the pre-order week, so they went live at 4 PM there. I was so happy to not have to wake up in the middle of the night for once. And then the site opened 15 mins late LOL.

I've always gotten a phone on launch day, but I wasn't upset for some reason. This early bump makes me glad that I wasn't stewing in anger over it :)

flightaware.com I think; from what people were saying earlier, theres a flight at 4:30 am EST leaving from china to korea... this is what will most likely determine if your phone will arrive on 9/22 or 9/23.

looks like the 11:30 crowd that's been stuck in China has gone thru security screening and waiting movement onto the 4:40 flight. If this is true then we should still get a delivery by thur. FYI I work at ups and can see that's it's passed customs and just needs a flight out.

I know the demand is high, but it's high each year.

I've preordered the 4 32GB,5 64GB and 6+ 128GB direct from Apple and have never waited this long for any type of movement.

I think the experience is overwhelming. My experience is partially based on the fact that the Apple Store didn't come back online for me until 10 minutes after, neither on the web or any iOS device I had on me at the time.

Further, it would appear that they are shifting stock around such that US customers are receiving theirs first, then the wave being spread out across other released countries. Further, it just looks like bad planning on Apple's part. If it is high every year, then they've had multiple years to rectify the process to ensure it is very smooth, that it is not right now.

Odd my phone finally got a departure scan from Incheon at 1:30 pm local time, about two hours ago, but there are no flights airborne and the next is scheduled at 10:14 pm in about 6 1/2 hours. Maybe there is a flight not visible on flightaware? Or they scan 8 hours in advance of departure?

My tracking information online still says "Scheduled delivery information is not available at this time. Please check back later" but I got a text from UPS a couple hours ago saying the delivery is now scheduled for Friday. Ugh. Originally supposed to be Wednesday, then bumped to Thursday, then no delivery date, now Friday. This has been my worst experience with UPS to date. Hopefully it will still come by Thursday.

EDIT-Okay this is bizzare I just got an arrival scan in Louisville at 2:19 am. Must have been on the flight out of Incheon last night? There was no scan activity in Anchorage. I can't make sense of any of this, but if it is in Louisville hopefully it will come sooner!
