My phone just departed Anchorage at 3:04pm. It was in the batch that routed through Hong Kong after erroneously saying it was scanned into Louisville KY. That was so disheartening, but now it should be delivered tomorrow. Finally!

This is off topic, but here is an Easter Egg tip to make your home screen completely black, including the dock and the folders. I like the effect and thought this might help those of us anxiously waiting for our phones. The photo shows how it looks.

You guys we all made the right color choice. The wait is well worth it.

The scan will likely take hours to show since the plane has to unload.
They have to unload all of the inbound flights on a very quick turnaround because the outbound flights have to be in the air by 3 or 4 am at the latest to get to their hub airports. But if we do see anything it will either happen in the next hour or two or its back to Korea

My phone which is till stuck in ZhengZhou, China since 01:05am yesterday is scheduled for Friday delivery, tried to switch delivery to UPS store near my house cause I might miss it and it says delivery to UPS store would be on Monday the 26th :(
Is that always the case? They usually take any missed deliveries there within a couple hours so i thought I'd make sure it stays there from the beginning!

Advice?

You have to choose a UPS Customer Center (hub), not a UPS Store.

Yeah do this! I did this on Monday and picked up my phone right when they opened at 10am.

Damn I really have the worst luck! Thought I'd have my phone worst case by Thursday turns out we might not get our phones until Monday freaking unbelievable.

Btw: I'm in the 8:01 arrival group smh

I got a departure scan from Louisville looks like my phone is on UPS904 en route to LAX. Confirmed delivery window this morning between 10:30am - 12:30pm. Ironic thing is I work overnight just around the corner from LAX there's a good chance my phone is going to fly right over my workplace as it lands LOL.

Was your phone in Korea at 8:01pm yesterday? I live in San Fernando valley and I have no scan other than Korea at 8:01 PM trying to figure out if you and I may have been in the same batch maybe my tracking is not updated yet

Nope, mine was stuck in Korea for a couple days before being diverted to Hong Kong to catch a flight to Alaska. It arrived in Anchorage this morning, flew to Louisville in the evening and is now en-route to LAX overnight. Unfortunately it appears there is a bottleneck in Korea, you might be there for a day or so.

What was your original ship date and your original delivery date? Just curious see if I'm gonna be stuck in Korea for a few days.

My phone landed in Louisville, KY with a 09/22/2016 1:15 A.M. Arrival Scan, and a 09/22/2016 3:21 A.M. Import Scan. No movement since. It's now almost 6AM in KY. Is it getting past the point where it can shipped to my local hub in Phoenix to be delivered today?

edit: I just found a UPS flight that left Louisville at 3:44AM to Phoenix. I imagine if I missed it, Im screwed out of getting it today. Hopefully the departure scan was simply missed.

Mine lost the delivery date estimate sometime while it was in China too. I think after it misses one of it's first scheduled connections, UPS just stops trying to estimate a delivery. I can't blame them. Until it arrives state side, there are to many possible delays. And actual, once it is state side, it isn't really that much better.

Sounds like for some unknown number reason the phones have to sit in Korea for two days before they ship out to Louisville or Alaska or wherever the heck they have to go. Sent Tim Cook an email telling him maybe he should consider using another carrier to assist in shipping these phones since clearly UPS can't handle the volume. I've never had in 10 years such a problem getting accurate tracking information from UPS. they clearly can't handle the volume

I guess my phone has to sit in Korea today and probably will ship out to me tomorrow, I hope it has nice time there, lol
