Well get this everyone!! So today leaving work a coworker tells me that her boyfriend preordered a JB 7+ IPhone on preorder day..(two weeks ago) so I was like: "me too, I'm been waiting for mine and I preordered it online right after store opening... but it says I won't get it until mid to end of October..:(.." she:" well we preordered his the same day, but we went to the Verizon store around 2 pm.... he got November dates for arrival, but he's already getting his this Friday!"... o_O:mad:...really!!! REALLY!! :mad::(... horrible way to handle this whole thing... even after we throw money at :apple:

I am almost certain that FedEx delivered my iPhone 6+, or may have been the 5. I would much rather have them taking some of the load off UPS this year and leading to a better customer experience.

This is coming from the person that loathes FedEx. During a massive snowstorm in 2009, I watched the FedEx driver not even attempt to come down my sideroad, stop on the side of the main road and throw my package out the door into the yard. Then FedEx sent my new, college computer on a tour of Mexico in 2011. Finally, they failed to load my package at one of their hubs to be sent out for 3 days.

So yeah, at this point FedEx is a welcome option over UPS.

It is not UPS's fault. The have an agreement with Apple of how many iPhones they can ship each day. It's Apple delaying this, not UPS.

There is plenty of blame on both sides. Apple shouldn't ship if they know the contract has limits and UPS should make exceptions in this case due to demand...it just makes good financial sense.
 
Exactly - this is ALL Apple. The poor UPS employees are getting unfairly caught in the middle.

I don't think it's either, at least to the folks stuck in China with no movement. Chinese customs is not letting UPS shipments from Apple go free flow. From what I understand, they're staggering the shipments once UPS has them.... Chinese customs is.

Apple is the puppet-master... Trust me. I know people on the inside. ;)
 
So I have everything ready for when my 7+ JB arrives, I bought a couple of these, and after opening them, they come with a protector for the back of the JB iPhone. Thought that was a neat little gesture. I actually was trying to find something to also accommodate the clear case for it, now I'm set. They were on Amazon for about $9.00, last week. Just in case anyone was still looking.

Apple...not sure. Keep in mind they can only keep up with so much demand. It's OUR fault for so many of us wanting this phone! :)
Only kidding. But in all honesty, they are keeping their word and all of us are getting our phones well before promised, so no issues. Everyone will forget the anxiety of waiting for the phone once it's in our hands and we stop reading these posts every day.

The kit comes with everything, very well thought out. The back protector is a plastic film. The glass front seems to be a very good product. Waiting for my JB+, tomorrow, I can let you know how it went. The back plastic part has an L shaped cut out where the cameras are situated, but I'm depending On my clear case to cover the rest that the plastic doesn't. I would buy it again if I had to.

You have proof Chinese customs is in this equation? Do share..

According to multiple (3x calls) UPS reps, simply asking them why my phone is still sitting in Zhengzhou, all three of them reviewed my tracking number and came back with the response of going through Chinese Customs' security checks. All three assured me that once they leave China, and hit the USA that there would be no more delays, but that they've had a number of shipments in Zhengzhou delayed.
